I thought it was common knowledge there was a clause in the loan agreement that if he played a certain amount of games by January then he couldn't be recalled?
Martin O'Neil wanted him back (whether to play or just take him away from Rangers?) but couldn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The story I read was that MON wanted him back but didn't ask in time.

Aye that was reported after Forest wanted him back.
Worrell is OK for me and not much more. Gerrard seems to trust him more than Katic at this stage which is weird. I have seen Katic make two or three mistakes and I have seen Worrell make about ten.
Of the many things that annoy me about Worrell is that he looks like he could go up for about ten corners a game and not score a single goal all season. For a guy his size he is awful at attacking the ball from a corner.
Wheras Katic would likely end up the season on double figures if he played every week.
I'm hoping for a similar scoreline to the past couple of games tonight but you can never tell.
Huge night for Celtic. Hearts' form has dipped though so they should still get the three points.

I much like most prefer Katic, that boy is one of those players that will put his head in where it hurts to defend. However I think Worral is better and positional sense and is also a better communicator. Worral is without doubt the voice in our defence and organises it, even more so than Goldson.
He can look really awkward on the ball at times though.

Seems like everyone bar Gerrard prefers Katic to Worrall, no idea what that’s about
I like the idea of Docherty playing as that attacking midfielder for us, loads energy of energy and a goal threat. Think he’d have been ideal in a lot of games we’ve struggled to break teams down. Harder to see where Rossiter fits in with McCrorie and Kamara now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There has to be something in the loan agreement for him to play a certain number or percentage of games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guy in my work, Rangers ST holder had mentioned the more games Worrall plays the lower the loan fee is.
I read he had to ask by the 8th or something and didn't. It never said anything about him having to play a certain number of games but if that's not in the deal and Gerrard just thinks he's better than Katic, he's wrong.
Ah well him and McAuley will be gone in the summer and we'll need to bring in 2 more CB's.

As I said i think Worral organises the back line, he is the voice constantly talking to the others around him and directing them (especially Barisic and Halliday).
I prefer Katic myself but its clear when at the games that Worral directs the defence.
Are we maybe in danger of bigging Katic up to much?
I aheee it’s been odd his lack of game time but if you think back to when he was playing at start of season where it was him and Goldson most game, we kept a few clean sheets but the chances the other teams were missing were sitters a lot of the time. I don’t think there’s too much between them either way
I don't see either of Rossiter or Docherty having a future with us being brutally honest.
Rossiter, we have too many similar players and his injury record suggests that he can't be fully depended upon. That being said if he can make it to the end of the season without being injured (big if) then that should be reassessed as ability wise he's better than anyone else we have at the club imo.
Docherty looked every part the Hamilton player last season. He looked lost whenever he got the ball, good engine aye, but very little else.
Onto tonight and we should really be beating Dundee at home.

Agreed on Docherty last season, i found it mental anyone thought he was the answer and he looked a lot like a headless chicken but the aspects of his game that needed work like positioning etc are easier to improve. He deserves a chance because he's a goal threat and has boundless energy, after 6 months next season we'll be able to tell if he has it or not
Totally agree on Rossiter, if he can't stay fit until the end of the season he has to be moved on.
Another 5 goals for us tonight

That's a fair enough point.
Obviously he had that priq Murty 'coaching' him last year which probably broke the guys confidence. It might be worthwhile loaning him out to a team that are at a higher level than Shrewsbury first for 6 months and see how he does then.

He has unfortunately got pulled into a sh1tstorm a couple of times.
He isn't ready to be a first team manager. He certainly isn't ready to be a first team manager when their is chaos all around him and he is having to deal with the mess some other failed manager has left behind.
I like Docherty.
I think he has a lot of the attributes of a modern footballer. Power, stamina, mobility, energy etc.
He just looked to me like someone who didn't really know what his role was, who was trying too hard and as a result got a bit lost.
I think he has a decent amount of potential and wouldn't write him off completely.
Ejaria scored one from outside the box, Lafferty might have done so as well.

What business do we need to do in the summer?
We need to bring in 2 CB's, apart from that we are well stocked but could possibly do with an upgrade at RW and an attacking midfielder.
