Our away form has been pretty dire all season so Im not too disheartened. The full back situation bothers me though. McCann will need to sort this out or its going to be continully explioted. I think we'll win this 2-1. Crawford, Whiteman, Copps. 7826

I think we are in a terrible state right now, imagine being sixth in the table with a game in hand over almost every team around us on the first of March.
Shocking.
McCann out.

The full back positions are a bit of a problem at the moment, I think Charlton have some nippy wingers so could cause a few problems,so will go 1-1 marquis to get his head out of his **** and score if starts , whiteman if not and crowd 7777

Totally agree Hound

Can't believe he's playing 3 up top at home to a side just above us.

Surely he has to play for a draw.

Marquis to miss another couple if sitters.

3.1 victory tlo the mighty Ziggers, Wilks first goal. Crowd 7654

And it was so nearly 2-1. Was somebody offside when the "winning" goal went in right at the death? No idea. The players and manager clearly didn't think so. Cracking match but we were so lucky not to go behind. We were out-played for long periods but not out-fought. Marquis was unlucky with the own goal and, as always, worked himself unstintingly but the MoM should have gone to Wilks who dragged us back into the game. I thought Blair did well as a sub but Kane looks either thoroughly out of sorts or is injured.

That was probably the best game I have seen at the KM this season.
Charlton were superb in the first fifteen minutes or so and we were up against it bey defending well.
Two great saves by Marko.
We gradually made our way into the game and Marquis made some brilliant runs and had a goal ruled out for offside.
People up that end of the ground are saying he was onside.
The second half was proper end to end stuff but we had the better of things in my opinion.
Their keeper made a couple of top saves, one in particular from a Marquis volley was superb.
The Charlton goal came after a spell of pressure and was probably deserved.
However we showed great spirit and Wilks cracked in one of his trademark goals.
After that I thought we looked the most likely to win.
The linesman stopped a Blair break away when he got past the last defender but the linesman flagged him offside, very dubious.
Then there was the last minute goal by JM ruled out by the same linesman.
From my seat, Johns shot looked to be heading for the top corner but it deflected into the middle of the goal off one of our players.
I don’t know who it hit but if it was Rowe, he definitely onside.
It could have been May and if it was it was offside.
People on the vsc site are convinced it was Rowe and if so we were robbed of two points.

Hopefully the tv people will clear it up but they do tend not to show dubious decisions.

We remain in the top six with a game in hand.

A very frustrating game to say the least - but probably entertaining for a "neutral". We started with what appeared to be even less energy and more sloppiness than on Tuesday night, but we were up against a much better team. After about 15 minutes I thought we would be murdered. However, thanks to Marko and some last ditch blocking, we went in at half time 0-0, and of course, many of us think it should have been 1-0 to us. Charlton were certainly very quick, and moved the ball around very well as though seeming at times we had no defence.
Poor John M - an o.g. and two disallowed for claimed offside (the second, if it had countered, probably would have been given to Rowe) from good strikes. I thought the one in the first half was good, and did not realize the one at the end touched anyone. GM certainly made his feelings clear in the end of game interview. John M also brought a great save from their GK.
The other, bad to me, offside call was when Matty Blair burst through. I though the timing of the pass and his run were superb.
Many refs would have given a penalty when Wilks was brought down when through. May be he did not give it as it might (should?) have been a red card. I did not see enough of the handball Alfie May claimed, and so just hope it is on the extended highlights.
Two points lost again, and Peterborough won.

Having seen the highlights, my first instinct was right.
The shot by JM did deflect in off Rowe who was clearly played onside by the defender marking May.
If you look at Rowes’ celebrations he was claiming the goal too.
I always look to the linesman when there is a goal like that and when that went in he didn’t flag at first so I was going nuts.
My pal then grabbed me and pointed to the linesman.
It must be the latest offside flag I have ever seen.
Wrong decision too.
The last time we were robbed of two points in a Charlton game it cost us big time at the end of that season.

I forgot to mention the conditions. As the match got underway it became clear that the wind was gusting south to north so Rovers players were over-hitting passes in the first half, while the Charlton goalie was finding his long kicked balls hanging in the air. I suspect that it was a bit easier for our chaps playing into the wind in the second half. It might have spoiled the game - but didn't.

Well, several of us limited our expectations or hedged into a draw and reaped the benefit. Yorkshire Lad continues his late charge...if only our team could emulate him. Mooli is reliable as ever and Selby ends a bit of a drought.

Will we be collectively more hopeful this week?
