Mustafi playing right back. No Torreira or Kolasinac

I actually can't believe that's the team he's gone with. Wtf is he thinking?!

If Wenger picked this team there would be a riot

Unai has a lot to answer for in the likely scenario this team selection doesn’t pay off

I don't like it, but let's just wait and see what happens

Hope emerys decision to play this team works out otherwise people will question his ability to beat big teams away from home

It’s already looking suspect

I did say Emery will pick a weird and he hasn't disappointed

How is Kolasinac and Torreira not starting is baffling

He has this obsession with Guendouzi

Guessing AMN isn’t quite ready, think I’d rather Jenkinson there than mustafi though!

Not surprised ozil isn’t starting. Rather have Torreira starting than guen.

33 year old Monreal at left-back, error-prone Mustafi at right-back, 19-year old kid Guendouzi in the middle, our most creative player on the bench...what could possibly go wrong?

3-0 or 2-1 spurs

I can just about understand the omissions of Ozil and Auba but leaving out Torreira and Kola makes no sense at all

I've only just notified noticed no Torerira ffs. Fack

We will be overpowered today for sure

Kane will get a few

Mustafi has the pace of a snail, why would you play him at RB?

If Emery manges to win this and doing so by picking a team none of us would then hats off to him. He will have won my full support and the support of many skeptics I imagine.

Let's hope he's picked the players with fire in their belly for this derby. Auba would have been so up for this though

Toreirra would be fighting in midfield

Emery has picked a pathetic team in most of the big games

Mustafi at right back

No Ozil

No Torreira

No Kolasinac

Classic Emery

Maybe he trusts monreal more defensively for this game. Takes an attacking threat away though. People been saying Torreira is getting little burnt out, so possibly going for guens higher energy.

Worried with mustafi ar RB, can’t imagine he’ll be effective going forward, and even when playing in his preferred position he’s hardly solid defensively

Our 2 best players in the reverse fixture sitting on the bench. Fair play if he gets a result but even if we win I’ll never understand this team. Our only hope of a win is if Spurs aren’t up for it. Not likely in a NLD

Four years since you last won against a top 6 side away as well no Bats?

posted on 2/3/19

Emery is talking about having the quality in the bench.

Wtf is the point of having them on the bench. The game could be over by then

Too many damn changes by Emery once again. Always tweaking with the line up. What a joke

We played mid week and We’ve got big games coming up Thursday, Sunday and Thursday. So possibly he’s thinking of the upcoming games a bit as well, so is rotating his squad.

More than 4 years since we beat City at the Etihad. We’ve won less away points than Wolves and Watford and have conceded more away goals than Southampton and Cardiff.

I’d understand if he was dropping these players to take a more defensive approach the the players than have come in are hardly defensive minded. Oh well, let’s see how this goes

You guys are well overdue a win then, more than four years though. Absolute killer.
