As much as we don’t want Liverpool to win..

When you say every chance?? Just how much does that mean? Could you put it into %?

posted on 3/3/19

City won’t win CL.
It would also be the most hollow cup victories ever with the standard of teams they have played

posted on 3/3/19

Anyone wanting a team who bend the rules and spend all the money in the world to win every year is odd

posted on 3/3/19

Imo 89%

89%??

Lol that is ridiculous.

City have a good chance of the quadruple. You know they will draw Roma/Porto in the quarters and I expect they will win the FA cup too with a plum semi final draw. Probably win the league now too.

Nobody has ever done a quadruple, so if they do fair play to them. This city side isn't as good as it was last season imo, so it would be funny if they did go on to win all four.

I don't really hold any real dislike for City. I enjoy the rivalry and all but it isn't the same.

Why would it be funny?

That would mean they beat us or someone else knocks us out the cup and we would never hear the end of it. City fans would go on about it forever

They don't even have an 89% chance of the PL.

Obv I don’t actually know a percentage. But if they win the league they’ve won half of the quadruple

They really only have us left in the FA cup and imo they’d probably win and have a high percentage chance of doing so. So the chances of a domestic treble are high

The CL is more of a long shot but I don’t think there are many better sides in it at all. Could all come down to a final where an early sending off or something decides it rather than the clear best side wins so it’s everybodies game from the quarters onwards

Barca are the only real obstacle imo. Obviously can never rule out Real but they are playing so badly I just can’t see them doing it this year. Think they’ll beat the rest comfortably.

I'm sure I can tolerate the 5 or 6 city fans I'll ever meet.

Anyway, I was making the point they probably aren't as strong as last season, even if they win the quad.

Robb it's still ridiculous. Like Busby said, they don't even have an 89% chance of winning the league.

But that’s what I’m saying in the OP. If people chose City to win the league. So this is all based on if they won the league would people want that to happen as the chances of a treble of quadruple are high

Why would you rule out Liverpool, PSG, Juve, Atletico etc

At the end of the day anybody can beat anybody in a cup game at that level. That's why trebles are a rarity and only the very best sides have managed it.

posted on 3/3/19

The possibility that if City win they’d be quite likely to win a domestic treble and maybe a quadruple is surely worse than the thought of Liverpool winning the title?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think City’s chance of winning ...

The league - 60%
The FA Cup - 90%
The CL - 40%

But if they’re still in the CL and Cup after winning the league (if that were to happen) then I’d imagine the chances of winning the CL at least would go right up

posted on 3/3/19

Unless you were/are a Red from Manchester I cant see what it matters to you if City buy the league or a quadruple. Having said that even I and most of my Manc Red mates would still rather have City buy it than Liverpool actually win it.

However I could see why you might not be happy with Liverpool winning it.

Nobody likes a smug scouser. We would never hear the frigging last of it. Let's face it.

Just had a quick look at the odds. From quick calculations in my head, I make it around 9‰ chance of them winning the quadruple

True. But if they win the league as the OP suggested and are still in both cup comps by the middle of May the odds would be very high of a quadruple
