As Monster said earlier I would expect us to extend the loan deal to the end of the season. At that point if we want him he would be a free agent anyway. I think we would only get him if we get promoted as a championship club is bound to be interested as well.
I would sign him young quality player with good prospect of improving as he get older
No, no..........we were 9th (2 or 3 points off the play offs) when Irvine was sacked.
The relegation spiral came when Megson took over.

Mmmm. Looks like U10727 style of altering the facts to backup their arguments is rubbing off on you!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1353168/Alan-Irvine-sacked-Sheffield-Wednesday-13-months-charge.html
The Owls' defeat at Peterborough left them 12th in the table, eight points adrift of the play-offs and only five above the relegation zone.
haha here he is again, mr 'id rather play with 10 men than JOC'. not sure why youre bringing me into it - feck off and read your daily mail you stupid kant.
Meh, so I got the numbers a little wrong.
The fact that things got worse after Megson took over is undeniable though!
A 'little' bit wrong!
The fact that things got worse after Megson took over is undeniable though!

It is if you make things up to suit your argument and look at your beloved AI through rose tinted specs.
We won 1 in 12 or something under Irvine and were in a heavy downward spiral.
We looked a disorganised mess in the final weeks under AI.
Eeek. I've just checked and we did indeed win one from twelve of AI's last games.
Scraped a few draws though including a plucky draw against 10 men Yeovil (9 by full time) at home.
Yep things were sure looking up under Irvine.
LOL......aye, I heart him!
You're just arguing with yourself now as I'm not sure where I said we weren't struggling under AI & things were looking up etc....
The fact that things got worse under Megson (last season) is undeniable. (note that you ignored that bit )
Having said that, overall I'm reasonably happy with the way this season has gone although I still have several misgivings & worries.
Anything else while you're on one?
Nah. But things did NOT get worse under Megson last season. That's simply not borne out by the results.
Megson won 6 games.
6 games in 3 months!
Anyway..............Ben Marshall.
6 in 14 is worse that 1 in 12 in what way?
Any how that's it. I've had enough of people not agreeing with everything I say so I'm leaving this forum.
Don't worry though. I'll be back in a week with a new id, having not learned a single thing and spouting the same old rubbish.
That's one spell of Irvine's management picked out to suit the argument though.....
Anyway, it's all academic.....
............I look forward to your return!
I'm back!
Well your point was that "The fact that things got worse after Megson took over is undeniable though!". My riposte illustrates that this clearly was not the case.
From Laws leaving to Irvine leaving we dropped 16 or so places down the leagues. From Irvine leaving to the present we've gone upwards (albeit in a smaller timeframe). So in what way have things gotten worse since Megon took over?!
I'm starting to think that sulky has taken over your account !!
I'm on about last season.
We went from 12th to just above the relegation zone to 15th after Megson took over from Irvine.....in my mind that's worse although I spose I may be wrong!
As I said, so far this season I'm reasonably happy.
What are you two crossing swords for? Shouldn't you be saving your energy for the morons?
Hey, this is healthy (pointless) debate.
Certainly no sword crossing happening!
You'll also notice there's been no dummy's spat or toys thrown out of the pram!
I have plenty of energy left for the moron(s)!
What are you two crossing swords for?
-----------------------------------------
I've gotta argue with someone izzster and there's no-one else around....!
I'd argue we're not arguing, tbf......
Just a healthy exchange of contrary opinions, eh? In that case I'll move on...
Oh dear chupa, still talking about me in my absence? I must've upset you..
Funny how you accuse others of twisting facts to suit their arguments (although I'm still waiting to here when i did this?) yet, according to your spurious logic, because we're 9th now, things have definitely improved since Irvine left. Does that mean if we lose tomorrow and slip to 12th, things have stayed the same? Lose again and under Megson we've gone downwards?
Irvine has a better winning percentage and averages more points per game as Wednesday manager than Megson. And he managed us in a higher league.
Not that I'm saying Irvine was a better manager, oh no, I just like to start arguments. Megson, so far, is doing a pretty average job.
^^^
I'm inclined to agree with that!
We should really stop this agreeing lark; I'll lose my hard-earned rep as an argument-in-empty-room-starter..
