Thought McTomminay was excellent tonight. Such an inexperienced midfield trio yet they were great and never gave up.

Ole quickly deciding to take off Bailly was a great call too. A lot of managers would have waited until halftime.

Best defender we have in this team. I’ve always said it. Bailly I was a big fan, but the lad would’ve cost us this game today if he stayed on

That challenge on Mbappe when he was 1-1 with the keeper. Very underrated performance today. He was solid.

Ole was clever too. Used Bailly's collision to take him off so that it would seem he took him due to injury.

Dunno, he was also quite good at making sure goals weren't scored.

It is kind of predictable that the focus will be on the youthfulness of the finishing line up, but the reality is that the experienced players were the most crucial in that result.

Smalling, Fred Lukaku and even Young (after the dreadful Bailly was made to shamble off) were the real difference.

Kudos to McTominay who is already more useful than herrera will ever be (not that that is saying too much), and to rashford who showed true chutzpah and finally did something genuinely match winning.

Pogba back for the next match, and maybe Mata. The youngster will enjoy the spot light - even though PSG made life easier for them - but it's experience that really matters in the latter stages

What Ole would do with Smalling was always going to be interesting because he is our best defender but there's no doubt he causes us issues playing out from the back. Can't say he's not been justified in his decision, though. Smalling has been very good since coming back from injury, and him and Lindelof look to be forming a good partnership.

I agree he is the best pure defender minus his lack of ability on the ball. i feel he needs a ball playing cb alongside him and lindeloff ticks that box imo.

I have always felt the biggest area we can improve the team is getting in a quality dm who is confident and capable in possession. It is the dm I want to see dropping back and starting our attacks.
