I can forgive him, easily - He's a top player who appears to have a great attitude

Those tame pens aren't good though, it's crazy how often top players fluff penalties. (Messi and Ronaldo come to mind).

He should be off pens if he's not got the bottle for them, not interested in strikers automatically taking pens to pad their stats which is often the case. It has to be the best penalty taker taking them (could be a defender, whoever is best takes them).

Sure, there was cursing........maybe the odd kicked dog.

But "despair"?

Our season is still well within our hands.

Lloris went on to effectively win the tie against dortmund and now spurs are in quarters with fairly lowly teams at present. They could really go on to win and it would all be from Aubas miss.

Yes, nothing to do with the 3-0 demolition job at Wembley,...

Who though? Xhaka? Missed 3 of 6. Ozil? Missed both his Arsenal penalties. Mustafi? Mkhi missed a big one for his country recently. Iwobi Reckon Leno may take a decent one tbf.

The United match should tell you everything you need to know about the mentality of defending a lead in cl. Whilst buffon was making mistakes letting them back in, Lloris was having a man of Match performance, thus crushing any hope of a come back.

God you are one hell of a nitpicker aren't you

We will most likely lose to united and then top four will be out of our hands and most likely out of our reach. Spurs could go on and win the champions league.

If that is not despair for an arsenal fan then what the fack is

Orient have more of a chance of winning the CL than that lot.

Well we obviously haven't found the solution yet. Auba's pen was a shocker, there's being unlucky then there's passing it back to the keeper

Lacazette is very good at pens, maybe he should be our new no1 taker.

Auba pen was pretty weak, like his one against Man City last season.

IMO his penalty technique does not fill you with confidence. As when he step up to take one im thinking is he going to score. Compare that to Kane i'm thinking goal before hes even started his run up.

posted on 7/3/19

So far he has been a bottle job against the big teams. Hopefully he can redeem himself on Sunday

posted on 7/3/19

Auba should just be off penaltys. Even when he scores it isn't not deep into the corner, he always gives the keeper a chance.

Did a PSG player miss a penalty at the weekend or something?
It is not nitpicking, you have made a ludicrous statement.

Sergio Ramos went from being the poster-child of skied penalties, to the top penalty taker at Madrid.

I don't see why Aubameyang can't. Emery needs to get him doing an hour of penalty drills after every practice. Emery also needs to keep him as the main penalty taker until he gets it right.

This is why the manager has coaching staff. A good coach can turn Aubameyang into a fecking Centre Half if he puts his mind to it.

Laca would arguably have taken it if on the pitch. But he has missed a few in his career as well.

Missing a pen can happen to every player of course. This one was piiss poor though. I would have saved it.

We would been 1p off and it hurts. Add to it that it could be costly as well should we miss out on top 4. 50M and more loss.....hard to swallow.

posted on 7/3/19

That's the thing. His pens arw generally quite savable. He shouldnt take them (unless he significantly improves at them)

To the OP. You should be embarrassed to call yourself a Gooner. So a player who has been great for us since joining and despite rumours that he was disruptive has in fact apparently been great around the place and with the players, is now a bottle job because he missed a pen?

Was Bergkamp a bottle job because he missed one v Man U in the FAC Semi in the last min or was Roberto Baggio in 1994 WC when he missed in a pen shootout or Shevchenko when he missed in CL Final in 2005? Loads of great players have missed important pens - it happens.

Probably one of the worst articles I have ever read.

"I'm not sure if he can be forgiven for this" get a facking grip he's our top goalscorer and 2nd-top goalscorer in the Prem.

His goals have saved us on numerous occasions this season.

You're acting as if he's the first striker to ever have a penalty saved.

So you've moved on from hating Emery to hating our striker and picturing spurs winning the CL. There's something not quite right with you.

he bottled the penalty pure and simple unlike Rashford last night or Kane on numerous occasions. Even facking Eric Dier had the bottle.

For someone who spent so long bashing Wenger who actually won a lot for us you spend a lot of time defending these guys who haven't won us anything at all. Letting us down at crucial moments whilst never giving us any silverware but you defend them. I think you are the confused one.

His goals saved us from what? We are 5th almost 6th, well done Auba

Serious question, who actually are you? coming on my article to question my loyalty to the team when no one even knows your name. Have you even been to a game you moron.

Bergkamp proved his worth and won us many trophies. Notice Henry bottled in CL final but I don't mention him because he won us so much. A pen against spurs is not a big scary moment for a so called elite striker like Bentdner he failed in what should be par for course. Its. The second time he has done it in a year

Don't comment on my article until you fully disclose who you are you utter freak, lurking about like R Kelly at a high school prom
