get a goal and we're in good shape, really need to score first

i have a feeling the midfield is designed to keep it tight and rely on our attack to pinch one.

Surely you would keep Fabinho in if that were the case? I reckon we're going all out gegenpressing. They have a very attacking lineup. Will leave gaps when we rob them of possession.

Nobody robs like you lot
Good luck, looking forward to watching this game
Wouldn't have minded this line up as much if we were top of the league

Think fabinho presses well though, so i wouldnt suggest his exclusion means we will press more.
I think it means we will be more conservative in posession, as recently he has been one of our more adventurous midfielders

As in I think we could get knocked out based on the other away cl games, which I wouldn't have minded too much if we still had the league in our hands
But hopefully we win while fabinho gets a nice rest

Have to disagree there. He doesn't press as well as the other three. He's a more traditional defensive player who uses intelligence and positioning to win the ball back. We'll soon find out what the reason is but I cannot for the life of me think of a reason why Fabinho would not be starting this game other than us wanting to press hard. We've went for energy when I expected a more conservative approach, at least to begin with.
Fabinho is one of our best at it
Fabinho is loose on the pass. He dies at least one every game that can get punished against top teams. Saying that i still did not expect that midfield

i agree with toor on this, he uses hid positional intelligence to break play up rather than rushing/pressing.

Do you want to get banned again biiiitch?
i have power now... agree with ME!
He presses at the right times to get the ball, anfieldindex collect stats on it and he statistically is 2nd best at it
he might need a rest i suppose
