VAR would have knocked Man City out today. Plenty of teams still have a chance to beat them.

Please don't put this pressure on us just so you can degrade our achievements if we fall short.

Don't think they will win the league and the CL. No matter how good your squad is it's going to be very tough to juggle all these competitions at the business end when you're up against very good teams in the CL and a very good team in the league. I think something will give way and I hope it's the CL.

City are top of the league in late March, without their title rivals to play; they're in the FA Cup semi-finals with Wolves the best of the rest left in it; they've already won the Carabao Cup and look like they're picking up momentum. Not an outrageous prediction really.

With respect to city I don't think they are beyond our abilities.

It would be remarkable for the city for you to bag a treble or even more. I think most of us are wishing the best for you at this point.

VAR would have knocked them of at least 7 points this season

Not sure how you work that one out. Although even if that were the case, we were one of the few clubs that voted for VAR, so you can blame others for that...

There certainly good enough.

Certainly the best team in the league.

Cup competitions are no respecters of class however. A team of deadbeats lost the ECL final last season, but they still got there, for example.

If they do it, best wishes to them. Been a decent, properly run, club for most of my lifetime with decent but passionate fans. Been said before many times but they are kinda like your 'kid brothers' team.

A lot worse things in the world of football can happen. Been a bad season, but Liverpool winning something, Leeds getting promoted, Arsenal returning to their 90s cheating style would all be worse.

How do you work that out

I hate it when people take random occasions in football match and equate them to points. Like is Mane's goal had crossed the line Liverpool would have drawn the game against City at the Etihad or the delusional scousers say Liverpool would have won the game how do you work that out????

Honestly that day even if Liverpool had scored 2 judging by the performance of both teams only City looked like winning that day.

Another famous one is Liverpool should have beat Arsenal at the emirates because Mane was wrongly ruled offside???? Before that goal, didnt Allisson punch Mikhitaryn in the head. What would have happened if Arsenal had scored first instead of Milner.

All ifs and buts. Over 38 games the team with the most points is the best team. Its that simple. City have scored 68 goals in 2019 alone.

You can moan about the offside at Watford or penalty at Westham but both goals were scored early in the 2nd half of games. Who can say for sure City would not have scored.

Some people are getting desperate here

To be fair, City fought very hard for VAR together with Arsenal and 4 other clubs whilst Man Utd together with the other 13 clubs opposed it.

I don't think they'll win the league, sadly. If you're as bad defensively as City are (and they are pretty bad) you will come unstuck, as they often have this season. Unfortunately, Liverpool line up with 3 holding midfielders and have a lethal front line. That combination is unlikely to drop many points during their very nice run in

Yes, but that was before their finances were directed towards adding storeys to officials' houses. That's how they're using the surplus that had previously been allocated to illegally trafficking young players 👍

City have been incredibly luck that the way the draws have opened up in both domestic competitions. They may win a domestic treble, but I still don't see them winning the CL.

Well they would certainly have been knocked out of the cup yesterday, had the ref done his job properly.

I think its more a reference to the influx of offside and dodgy penalties they have been awarded recently.

Tbh to win 3 or 4 cups you need massive amounts of luck and good fortune too. Be interesting to see this years error report thing where it states points lost/won due to bad decisions but yes, 5hit happens people need to get over it.
Defo a myth it all even out tho over a season
