All home games will be similar to an away game. Not in terms of support, but in terms of pitch and football.
So that's where you lot should be doing yer part. Create an electric atmosphere. Stuck the ball into the Net!
Help the lads out! Don't be one of those iPhone zombies that's gonna pay, just to stick a phone in front of yer face while getting prawns stuck in yer teeth!
Get over the Bell and whistles of the stadium. Focus on the match, the confidence the players would feel knowing that is what to expect for home games. If the fans are pumped, then they can't be playing soft and day-dreaming 'ohh yay, what a cool stadium, ohh yay!!'
oh shut up!
Play the game!
I think this move is less likely to affect us in comparison to other clubs that have had to adjust to a new stadium. Eg Arsenal and West Ham.
We haven’t really moved like both those clubs did. Fans and players are travelling to the same place that was previously our home venue.
Fingers crossed it gets us a massive lift, fans and players. Winning all 5 of our remaining home games will go along way to finishing top 4, even if we do lose to both Liverpool and City.

Isn’t the Emirates about 10 minutes away from where Highbury was?
No idea Ed. If you say it is I won’t challenge you on that. However new WHL is on exactly the same plot of land. 10 minutes is still a different place altogether to travel to, isn’t it? For players and fans.
Maybe I’m over playing this due to my optimism that there won’t be a negative affect! When Arsenal and West Ham played their first games in their new stadiums did it feel like going home?
What does it matter if you play at the same location or next door? Isnt it about the pitch? Its a different stadium, a different pitch, its like an away game except for support.
Difference between us and arsenal/WHU is they went from a small compact stadium straight into a huge stadium.
We already done this moving from WHL into Wembley.
Moving from Wembley into NWHL where pitch is the same size but having a more intense crowd should HOPEFULLY help us more.
True but ten minutes isn’t a great difference. I’m guessing the main issue was the fact the stadium was just completely different rather than it’s location. In this regard, as Hengy states, you’ve already had a transition as such to different surroundings by playing at Wembley.
You may be returning to the site but it’s still going to be a completely different stadium to WHL, so it’s hard to really know until you’ve played there.
It’s hard to judge one way or another even with the results. Your home form has been pretty crap this season and if that were to continue at the new stadium it may not be down to dealing with a new stadium. Similarly any improvements in your form may not be anything to do with it either.
I think you can only really judge it after at least a season or two after the move.
Shouldnt be allowed. When the Emirates was built the PL made is absolutely clear that clubs are only allowed one home ground in any season and moving during the season was not allowed.
Ed. Yep no arguement from me with what you have said there.
Like I say I guess I’m just hoping more than expecting. Just think that the new stadium being on the same site should help with the transition along with the fact that, as hengy alluded to, we have already been playing at a bigger venue.
It's not just about the size of the stadium though, it's a lot to do the lack of familiarity the players will have with the areas they are on the pitch.
Thierry Henry said when Arsenal moved to the Emirates, it meant a massive readjustment for him, as things he'd used at Highbury - such as advertising boards on the stands - to subliminally tell him exactly where he was on the pitch, were no longer there anymore.
It’s an interesting one with regard to the point of ‘returning home’. To all intense and purposes you aren’t because WHL has been knocked down. But I’ve seen it mentioned by your fans and if the players are feeling the same it’s a different psychology for those in the stadium compared to moving straight into a new one.
Other than City you’ve got a pretty handy fixture list there for the remainder of the season. So it will be interesting to see how you do anyway.

City is away too. Apologies. Thought you were referring to our fixture list in its entirety.
All our remaining home games are winnable on paper.
Just meant the ones at home, so City in the CL also. Yeah the prem ones look quite straightforward on paper. Huddersfield and Everton look like gimmes. Palace are scrapping for points to stay up, as are Brighton but they could be all but safe by the time they play you. Spurs are West Ham’s cup final so you’d expect them to be up for that.

I see the new stadium is going to be cash-free.
.
All payments must be contactless - A bit like Harry Kane's penalties.

Oh the Irony after Raheem’s dives this year
OP - You state "potentially" 5 games. So is it actually LESS than that then ?
