Tbf Iceland were decent that tournament. Could have done a Greece and gone on and won it.

If they had won three more games then yeah i guess they could have 'done a Greece' but that is the general rule when you reach the quarter finals

This is pretty insulting to West Ham
I was driving at the players and might of England playing against Icelandic players nowhere invthe same bracket as England. That Iceland defeat will take some beating imho.
Iceland are better than Scotland 100% serious. It’s embarrassing for England to lose to them but Scotland would be expected to lose to them, that’s the difference
Not really true though is it, Scotland and Iceland in general these days are about the same level, Iceland have had a little purple patch but that is it and Scotlands international record til the last 20 years was nothing short of miraculous.
Even in that time Scotland have dished up great results, lest you forget you needed an injury time equaliser less than two years ago, now that is surely embarrassing. Also beaten Germany, France(twice), Holland and held Italy during this dog shat period.
Scotland has paid the price for the premier leagues wealth more than anyone and our squad today looked feckin hopeless to be blunt.
San Marino up next. Not even Scotland could mess that one up. Could they? Starting to wonder if England Ladies would beat them.

You do know the BBC is British? why would they do a piece about Netherlands winning without mentioning the British players as a headline?
I'm sure over in Holland if say Liverpool won they'd headline VVD or Bergkamp back in the day when Arsenal did well.
