Cheaper travelling from Barcelona to Manchester than Manchester to London too. So money can’t be the issue.

These Barca fans just can’t be asked going.

Barca not selling out an away allocation in a different country is the same as City not being able to fill their stadium apparently

Why? It's cheaper to fly from Barcelona to London than it is to get a train from Manchester London.

Why would you need to get a train from Manchester to London to fill your stadium?

Barca probably have more fans in the uk than Liverpool and all. It’s apathy. They can’t be asked.

I didn't realise the semi was played at the Etihad.

I missed out there.

There we go, hope that's cleared it up for the terminally dim amongst us.

And this has what to do with not filling the Etihad?

Head in the sand logic for City fans.

Worst case of delusion I've seen in my time on these boards.

MANCHESTER CITY V TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

17/04/2019 20:00 | UEFA Champions League

Ticket Info This fixture is now on sale to Seasoncard holders, Cityzens Matchday Members and supporters that have attended one fixture at the Etihad Stadium prior to 15th March 2019.

1x fixture.. between 2014 and 2019 makes you eligible for a CL quarterfinal. Could even be a friendly.

Half a shilling this one 🤦‍♂️

It's gone even more random now when an apparent matchgoing fan is trying to argue its a good thing when clubs have to restrict sales for other matchgoing fans...!

Do you just want someone to say Liverpool have more fans than City red? If you do, then yes, of course they do. I find it an odd thing to be proud of, but each to their own.

posted on 10/4/19

If you have so many matchgoing fans why are they still on sale?

Obviously those that go to the prior matches should get priority to the next round rather than someone who only gets bothered to go for the last couple of games.

Bizzare. Liverpool take pole position in the race for a semi final spot, and red basks in the glory of it all by researching ticket restrictions at an upcoming city game. Feckin saddact.

who basks after winning the first leg of a CL quarter final?
Oh it’s city.. not much experienced of that

City attendance and tickets are the topic of this thread. What’s your problem? Fact that the OP is proven right by the minimal restrictions to generate sales for the second leg?

You can’t discuss our game yesterday and continue a discussion about City’s attendances? Only one or the other apparently.

Ah yes the ‘glory’ of a first leg win in a QF

That’s the same question I just replied to, are you saying it would be better for fans if we hadn’t expanded the stadium so that less could get a ticket if they wanted to? Why on earth as a matchgoing fan yourself would you think that’s possibly a good thing? Even with the expansion, there are still plenty of pl games that sell out, which is why they’re thinking of expanding again.

Our core matchgoing support is around 40k and that goes back pre takeover. The amount above that has grown, which is why when we were at 47k capacity every game was selling out. Now we’re at 55 and about half sell out.

There is a priority order, it didn’t go straight to those three groups btw.

You’re not talking about solely attendance though, you’re talking about attendance relative to stadium size. Ultimately, the end result is that Liverpool are missing out on a lot of match day revenue and need a bigger stadium. That’s it.

Yes I remember little to no celebration after your first leg win against us last season....

The op who admits in his profile that he doesn’t really go to games is proven right 🤔
