I see the "One star for a match thread idiot" is still with us.

Thank god for that. My bum was twitching. Good to see stevie back and that he is more mobile than I thought he would be. We should be very careful with him. limit his playing time for now. Blood him In slowly.

I know. Pray with me. The one night Barca decide to play rubbish
Kenny on the front foot post-match!!
Aggers, don't agree carra was great. He was until the pen. Ok spearo defo contributed to that massively. However, he is going to ground far too quickly these days. This is the 4th game he has cost us a goal. He is becoming more and more rash in his challenges. His legs have gone. I don't buy into this marshelling the defence nonsense either. If that was the case he would not be at the brunt of every mistake. My opinion of cause.

I think Carra was really looking a lot sharper today, I think Spearing will be getting it in the ear now and quite rightly so because if he hadn't been so stupid we would all be saying how well Carra did.
Having said that Kelly or Wilson are ready to step up if need be and Coates looks like he is adjusting quickly to the pace of the Premiership.
I just we we had a player like Alonso to slow the game down when need be.
There are still 45 mins to play Mr Chelsea. It looks like a cracking game. Rafa is in the crowd. He knows how to beat Barca. Maybe he has had a chat with the Valencia squad.
Will it be or for you tomorrow night. We will see
We definitely need that calming influence and assurance in defence & MF. We're still reverting to 'panic mode' to easily at the moment and conceding easy possession.
Make the opposition work hard to get the ball back.
Carra is slowing down, sure, but he still needs more composure around him.
Poorest game I've seen Kelly play. Not yet match fit I suspect. If he was match fit, then there's quite a way to go for him. Carra? Please Kenny, please. Disappointed Wilson didn't get a game, Kenny's choice. Lets be honest people, we struggled. At times Brighton - full credit to them - were the better team. We are too fragile, and there's no easy answer other than to win games convincingly, and we are far from that. Luis is just not oozing the confidence he had earlier, lets hope I'm wrong, and if I'm right lets hope he gets it back, quickly. Kenny was showing a brittle side when interviewed, lets hope he gets over that too. YNWA JimmyTheRed
Agree with that Aggers, especially about an alonso type player.
Bellamy offers lots of options still has the pace hope him and gerrard start v wolves
Yeah me too, we really, no desperately need to get our league campaign back on track against Wolves after two successive losses - I'm hoping Gerrard starts over Adam
Why we are conceding these penalties. In the previous round against Exeter, the ref gave them a soft penalty. At Stoke, Walters dived but won the penalty. Now Vicente went for it and got the penalty.
why penalties Vs us?? Becasue our defenders are slow.
Anyone else hoping that Coates will be a regular by January maybe - Carragher needs to be taken out of the first 11, pronto
Carra played well, but I struggle to understand why he didn't stay on his feet after Spearing's slip up. That's another error which has resulted in a goal against us and at the moment he looks likely to drop at least one ballack in every game. However, with Agger out I think he should start against Wolves on saturday.
Bellamy was a big plus as was seeing Gerrard back on the pitch. We played some good stuff in the first half, but were again found wanting in our pressing in the second half, the team just backed off and we failed to close the Brighton players down as a cohesive unit.
I thought suarez looked jaded in the second half, he's played a hell of a lot of football recently and didn't have much of a summer break.and I thought Kenny might have put him on the bench.
Bellamy deserves to start against Wolves after his performance

Carroll didnt even get a look in for this game, with Suarez looking a little jaded, do you think we could see Kuyt and Bellamy upfront this Saturday?
