Questions need to be asked of the players. Doesn’t matter what the tactics are of the manager. Basic defending in the penalty area from set pieces comes down to commitment and desire. The manager can have a certain amount of influence over this but it basically comes down to the professionalism of the players.

The football hasn’t been great to watch as it has all been a bit too pedestrian in all honesty. However, MoN hasn’t had the luxury of a fully fit squad of players since he has been here. The back four on Saturday were probably at least third choice of the whole squad was fit.

I think we are all agreed that Osborn at left back is for emergency use only. Whatever the issue is with Robinson, it needs rectifying pretty quickly. MoN needs to help himself here. If Robinson is fit, he should play. He is one of the best full backs in the league when on form.

Wednesday have been on a good run of late. By the sounds of it they were very unfortunate to be sucker punched by Villa so late on in the day. It will be interesting to see how they react to that.

They have a few injury concerns, though. Bannan is probably out. I really rate him and he always seems to perform against Forest. Iorfa is also doubtful. Bruce has been bemoaning the injury situation at Hillsborough so it could be an opportune moment to take on the Owls.

Hillsborough is a good away day of going by coach. Last time I went we stopped off at a pub just south of Rotherham off the M1. Landlady was made up by the sudden influx of 50 Reds drinking the place dry! A short hop up and over onto the A61 and it’s an easy drive into the ground. They aren’t too friendly around there so the chances of a pint close to the ground are slim. They used to not allow alcohol in the away stands at grounds in South Yorkshire. Don’t know if that is still the case.

I've not been to Hillsborough since the first F.A Cup Semi Final!
For some reason a punch up started amongst the Forest fans up at the top of the cop, funny how I still remember that after all this time. Two very large gentleman shouldered their way through the crowd and sorted it out after a while.

Were they not Scousers who’d managed to infiltrate the Forest end? For both semi finals, Forest got the larger allocation. SYP figured it would make senses as the Forest fans would generally approach Hillsborough from the South and East so it made sense giving them the Kop and Main Stand. Scousers moaned S

I often wonder if the disaster would have happened of Forest had been allocated the Leppings Lane end instead.

Forest had some boisterous fans around that time but Liverpool has a bad rep for being drunk and obnoxious. We’ll never know. Ultimately, it was the poor design and maintenance of that end of the ground which contributed the most.

I remarked to my mates that the Leppings Lane end looked over full when I was there. Dangerously overfull I mean. I didn't make it the next year because I caught Chicken Pox from my daughter; one of my friends hasn't been to a football match since. Supported the ice hockey instead.

Not sure I’ll get up for this.

I do want to see how terrible we are, but I also have an awards thing tomorrow night. Foods not til 7:30 and we have office drinks from 5. Main event is at 10 and then a DJ at 12.

A DJ on a Wednesday night and a room full of coked up winkers. I’ll be making an early exit, but it’s still a 20hr day.

I’m really failing to see the joy in life these last few weeks. Forest haven’t helped, but getting older is really boring. I mean you care less, which is great...but everything is just...so repetitious.

Anyway, Forest to lose 4-1 😜

There were 10000 tickets for the Leppings Lane end terrrace in those days. I think there were reported incidents in the 1983 semi final between Spurs and Wolves where quite a few Spurs fans were injured. It seems inconceivable now that the authorities would just accept that. Shows how much disdain they had for football fans. Granted, a noticeable proportion would be more than a handful on match days in the 80’s.

I know what you mean. There hasn’t been much spark to Forest’s play recently. Lost the last three at Sheff Weds. I’d feel a little more hopeful if Robinson was restored and Appiah was given a start.

I still have a sneaky feeling that Forest will sneak a 2-1 win after being battered for the majority of the 90 mins...😬

Grabban and Cash to score .

It would be typical Forest after Saturday’s disappointment across the M1.

Although we will be on the ‘red button’ on Sky, I, like most am pretty uninspired atm, and will probably watch the champs league. I think we could nick a draw, but tbh I am not really fussed. The sad thing is I renewed my season ticket before the Swansea game, and am having regrets already. I am sure come August my interest will have returned.

Reddave. Renewed mine already as well. I think the close season brings on a renewed optimism. At least for the first few games then we all become disillusioned again. Why do we do it?

Stan In hope I guess, who knows, one season it may all click into place, it maybe next. Quick aside, my sisters boss had a Fester season ticket for 10 consecutive season’s, guess which season he didn’t renew ? Yep, the season they won the Prem.😁

Reddave, I bet he felt pig sick at that. I would hate to be in a similar situation to him and miss out. Be good to see good times again before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

Well can’t say he hasn’t freshened things up, Steele, Robinson, Byram and Appiah all start.
Can’t ask for anymore, other than the players to take their chances.

Quite happy with that, might watch the match on red button after all.

Can't say he hasn't shaken things up! Yates starts too.

Subs: Pantilimon, Murphy, Carvalho, Janko, Yacob, Pele, Ansarifard.

Grabban starts upfront on his own.
