I wouldn’t really say we play better overall however I would say he often chooses the wrong option for personal glory when an obvious other option is avalible
We do play better without Kane especially post first injury.
The problem we have is that bench is not looking good at all. Cannot afford anymore injuries.
Not sure Spurs can ever be better without a player that has been top scorer for the club past four years, silly to think otherwise. However Spurs usually cope without him. Still prefer him in the team though, his goals apart, he links the side up really well most of the time.
I wouldn’t say better, but we cope incredibly well without him as Son feels the void and scores the goals in his place, plus we drag Lucas back into the team and we get some pace in our attack
Lucas has looked very good in the last few games.
Will be good to see him play for the rest of the season

I notice the same thing. Just tries too hard at the moment, like he was expecting to get the first goal in the new stadium. However at the moment for Son he is on form and it comes naturally right now.
Like Kane a lot, but... a bit of a superstar figure.. same with Dele too having said that.
I say use Kane as a sub as we did Defoe. Might make him more disciplined kinda like a time to reflect time out type thing.
Not better without Kane, just different. Sometimes Spurs play better as a counter attacking side and with the likes of Sonny, Eriksen, Dele, Moura (& Lamela when fit) as they all have the ability to rotate positions and play with great pace. The flexibility of those 5 make Spurs a very difficult team to defend against as there's no predictable focal point (as good as Kane is )
In some respect this could be a blessing is disguise as a flexible formation that can play on the break with pace could be the best way to approach the 2 away games vs City as well as bunch of home games vs cloggers who will come and sit deep. There are times at home against weaker sides when they just clog up the middle trying to restrict the space for others to play off Kane..... In a weird way (obviously feel bad for kane, though it was his own fault) I'm quite optimistic
On a separate note...... Sissoko, fantastic performance, credit where its due !!!!! I think I might have got that one wrong ! I dunno what Poch has done to him or maybe its just a " playing every week/ confidence" thing.... but well played fella

Agree with this.
It's just a different style and given that teams are set up to face a Spurs with Kane, presumably it can catch them unawares when your style completely changes.
If we get given a penalty kick, and Harry Kane ain't on the pitch to take it, who will you choose?
This thread is pure idiocy.
The team is obviously stronger with Kane on the pitch.
His absence is going to be a great loss.
And I will predict now that we will lose both of the coming matches with ManCity.
Kane has shown almost too much desire to be involved at the moment, which is admirable but also means that a) he's often not in the positions you want him to be, and b) prone to more injuries like the one last night.
I think sometimes we can look better without him and other times we'll wish we had him. Personally I'm gutted as it's a wasted bet for me on him being the Golden boot winner.
We cope very well without Kane but are a better team with him.
He certainly has an impact on how opposition teams set up and this was evident last night against City as they clearly feared him.
He holds the ball well and brings others into the game and will always score goals.
City looked dangerous when Kane left the pitch as they attacked in greater numbers,
However,Sonny up top with runners either side is enough to cause problems for most teams and has been successful in the past.
We should not be afraid without Kane.
Teams are set up to deal with Kane as our biggest weapon. They show him the greatest respect and quite right too. They do what they can to nullify him. When he doesn’t play the same respect isn’t given to Son which is their downfall.
So lucky to have the firepower we’ve got. What a position we’d be in if eriksen was performing this season.
Fortunately most of the games left, CL aside, Spurs should be able to cope, but would be a big shame if say Spurs got past City and took us to our first CL/European Cup Semi Final for nearly sixty years, and we did not have our main man.
If there's a silver lining to him being out for the season, it's that he can rest up and recuperate properly with the full summer off after his injury heals. Then, after a proper pre-season, he'll be raring to go for the new season.
Course on the flip side he might push to come back before the end of this season, because he seems to do that and Pochettino seems to indulge him.

Ted, why would we not expect you to say Spurs will lose both matches. You are the most negative Spurs supporter on the board. Never heard you ever say Spurs will win a game, or even anything positive about the club.
Son stepped up before and will do again. We will just change the formation and style of play.Kane is our talisman, and will be greatly lost, but the team goes on and will simply adjust.
Top 4 still defo on, with only one really difficult game to come, which to be fair most of us had written off anyway. The team / squad should be good enough for the other fixtures.
COYS
We did well in the 7 games when Kane was out then we only took 1 point from 15 on his return so one man does not make a team he will be greatly missed but let us show our other players the respect they deserve they will do the job in a professional manner - COYS !!

Voice of doom?
Kane out, Alli injured, Lamela missing, Dembele gone, Aurier back in jail?
Gotta hope Son can do it all and our back four stay together!
And Pep doesn't make any more management errors like keeping De Bruyne on the bench too long.
Not too much of a stretch to bet that we'll lose both matches up in Manchester, is it?

Oh yes, and Trip Trip Trippier!! Hooray!
Gotta hope Sissoko can keep coming over his side and baling him out.
Sandy, I have to ask......
now honestly .... given the situation... do you expect Spurs to go up to Manchester and win anything against City?
I'm saying we lose both matches, best possibility would be a 2-1 loss in the CL. Then we go through. A 1-1 draw would be over the moon.
In the league we're fighting for fourth now.
People underestimate Kane's value to our team. He's not just a striker. He's an all court hardworker and he draws double and triple teaming which means other players can get away from their minders.
Pochettino should be request a VAR revue of that stamping his ankle got. Its a retrospective red card in my book.
Better without Kane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really?
I bet Barca are better without Messi as well
Grandspurs.................//where has anyone said we are better without Harry?
It was a fair question based on previous periods when he has been missing. The facts show we have not suffered when he is out, however he is our ONLY World Class player & I would always prefer to see him in the team.
Ted.............I don’t think there was any malice in Delph’s challenge, if anything Harry was the one who was a bit late and thus got himself injured
