7/8 out of 10s for most with Sonny as a 9
Great performance. Has to be to get a result against City especially a clean sheet! That back 4 shouldnt change from now to end of the season unless for injuries.
Would’ve snapped your hand off for a 1-0 defeat tbh but we got what we deserved.
Great game plan with great performances all round.
I expect next weds to be a even harder test though

Disagree with Son being a 9 tbh. I know he scored the goal but we had better performers on a whole than him imo
Rose was my MoM followed by Winks & Sissoko.
Edbo, the atmosphere will go up a notch or two on Saturday, when I shall be in attendance.

The article is factually correct. you are a small club of little relevance apart from that you are geographically located near us, making you a London rival.
also its ironic you say the OP is obsessed with us when there is nothing in the title that concerns west ham, so what are you doing on this article?
Definitely got what you deserved last night, though it was bizarre tactic from City. Pep really seems to have no confidence of them in Europe.
Hopefully you can get a result in the next leg and go through, just let them win the league game
who actually thinks we'll progress ?...... so tough to call
Great that we have a lead but that means they will have to come at us & both line ups will probably be very different in a weeks time
I think we are capable of doing a job similar to Dortmund but also capable of getting tonked 4-0 (seen city bury teams at home inside the 1st 20 mins)
Honestly got no idea what to expect

Reckon you'll need an away goal for sure then they'll need 3 which is a tough ask. Tie is probably still slightly in City's favour but it won't be if you boys grab a goal at the Etihad.

Was thinking about this earlier.
It's weird cos although we got the win, we don't get any points like you do in a league game (where a tight 1-0 still means the same as a 5-0).
All it means is that at 'half time' we're 1-0 up (true that we have the possibility of away goals and they no longer do).
Although it was amazing to win, with such a small margin and having to go to their ground, absolutely anything could happen.
I still think this tie is pretty 50-50, they will be better at home and will start a stronger team. We have the lead, but it's such a slender one!
Thought Rose was brilliant, MOTM.
The goal from Son was great, didn't give up and got a good shot off.
City seem to be going through the motions, it'll be tough at the Etihad but they aren't exactly free flowing right now.

Rose was poor delivering in to the box, he did well though, help keep Walker quiet.
I’d give MOTM to Sissoko.
Its the perfect shlt storm for us as Spurs Fans as its all gonna come down to mental approach. Last night proved we are good enough in terms of heart, technique & tactics to complete with them BUT..... Going there is gonna be about being mentally tough & resolute in defense...... Can we weather a storm in the 1st 20 mins and grow into the game from there...... Can we..... Yes...... will we...... not so sure
I think its that close..... lose an early goal and I think it might open the floodgates and we're done. But if we get to half time 0-0 and even if they scored in the second half I'd still fancy us to score... This team has plenty of flaws and mental breakdowns but they don't quit

We would’ve still been in the tie with that over a 2-0 defeat
Without Kane it's going to come down to heroic defending and doing everything we can on the counter to get that away goal. No way it ends 0-0
Same scenario as the Chelsea cup semi, and look what we did there.
Weirdly if away goals had counted we’d still have gone through with a. 2-1 loss, so same result at the Etihad and we qualify, must go for that away goal it’s crucial as I can’t see us keeping a clean sheet there
If we defend as we did last night we have a chance, I think we will definitely score at their place
it will be 2/3/4-1 to them. lets pray for the latter

You want us to lose 4-1?
Think you meant the former??
IMO a great result I would have actually settled for 0-0 and hope to nick a goal up there so a one goal lead is simply great for us. I still think its going to be the longest 90 minutes of our lives but I dont think its any harder than having to go to Barca and get at least a draw.
As for last night, I thought early on Trippier was getting run ragged but to be fair 2nd half he had a good game.
Very disappointed in Eriksen again but he has not been at it for weeks.
MOTM is a tough one it really is because I personally cannot separate Rose and SIssoko. I know they both made mistakes but their work rate and will to win was simply fantastic so its shared for me between the two of them.
Everybody else played their part of course but I have to congratulate Hugo for that penalty save as I am normally extremely critical of him.
I know everybody is saying it was a good height for him blah blah blah and that is was a poor penalty but at the end of the day he went the right way against one of the best strikers in the premiership in a vital game and saved it. Poor penalty or not thats not easy to do.
