I can forgive his corners as he’s been clearly told to whip to the front post which means it’s likely to be cleared more often than not but his free kicks are awful.

Trippier should be our main taker now

Lamela takes a very good dead ball, when he`s not injured

Yeh he is awful at them.

The players have clearly been told to aim for the near post

I'm starting to think Lamelas done, real shame as a couple of years ago last nights game would of been right up his street.

He used to score 1/5 I'd say from a good distance now he doesn't even come close

Where is Lamela?

Why does he always seem to get injured in training but never during games? In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him go down injured in a game.

Lamela’s only decent season for me was the one when Lesta won the league. He was fantastic against Man Utd when we beat them at home 3-0.
Other than that he has the odd great game, gets injured and then sparingly used.

He was brilliant that season tbh and injury free, kept son out of the team. Hes had moments since but cant stay fit

You often see pro players not beat the first man with a corner. And people say “facking Sunday league player could at least get that in the mixer”. What these ignorant facks don’t appreciate is, he’s not trying to get it in the mixer. The corners are well rehearsed, specific exercises where Eriksen is trying to put it on a sixpence to someone making a run across the near post. We’re talking macro percentage for error here. Now you might say, given how little it actually comes off, why not just lump it into the middle where you might have a 50/50 chance of someone getting the nut on it, and I wouldn’t necessarily disagree. But the point is, it’s not that he can’t take a simple set piece, it’s that he’s trying to do something very specific and accurate.

I agree re his free kicks, on the whole they’ve been poor for a while. Apart from the odd moment of class his entire form has been diabolical since the 1-3 loss to Wolves.

This

Every single set of fans think their team aren't good enough at set pieces, simply because they overrate how often set pieces are scored from in general

Liverpool have scored the most goals from corners this season I believe, and even their fans moan that their corners hit the first man too often

Eriksen could easily lump the ball high into the box, it would just give the keeper a better chance of catching it

It's amazing how he's gone from being one of the best free kick takers in the league to one of the worst. Being good at free kicks can be a huge asset and if it's true that Eriksen doesn't actually practice them then it's a joke, and it actually makes him overrated based on that alone given how highly rated he is.

Our set pieces in general are a joke. If he's told to put in low crosses on corners it isn't working very well, and given the height we have with Kane, Jan, Llorente, Toby, Sissoko, Sanchez...we should just put the ball in where they can get a head on it.

Eriksen is actually one of the only players at Spurs that I actually dislike.

Firstly for me its because he bottles tackles and hides when the going gets rough but thats not the main reason at all.

Nobody can doubt that he has loads of ability and he is possibly one of the most technically gifted players we have whats annoying to me is he is a typical example of the modern day "special" prima donna footballer.

He chooses when he wants to have a good game and gives the team heart and soul when he feels like it.

To me personally when you have fans buying shirts with your name on and singing their heads off for you the least you can do is give every game your best effort.

Sissoko as a footballer is not fit to lace Eriksens boots but he never gives less than 100%, that to me is what a player should give every single time he walks on to the pitch and I dont care if its a Champions League game or Pub United v Pub City on a Sunday morning at 10.30 am. go out there and give it your best.

That and the fact that he is a bottle case is why I personally dont like him and would not be at all dismayed if we sold him.

Eriksen managed to hit a one man wall from a free kick on Tuesday. That’s skills

Lamela is finished at Spurs now in my opinion. I think he will be moved on, to injury prone now.

Eriksen doesn't seem to care. He's always been casual, laid back even but of late he is positively horizontal. Is he engineering a move? Has he lost passion for the game, I don't know but what I do know is this cannot continue it's just not fair on fans now paying a fortune to go watch him. Buck up or fack off Christian.

Nonsense. Eriksen is consistently in the top five in the league for distance covered. I’m talking seasons not just games

Spurs fans don't deserve Eriksen honestly. It's a joke how overly criticised he is

Even yesterday he is yet again the player to find the killer pass for our goal, and fans are still having a go at him

Eriksen has 1 goal & 3 assists in his last 3 games.

He’s a quality players who even isn’t in the form of his life is still instrumental in our play.

I just wonder if his heart is in it. Can't argue that he is an outstanding player but refusing to sign a new contract and his uncharacteristic dips in form suggests not all is well. An in-form Eriksen is a joy to watch.
