Unforgivable.
Ffs its 15mins sat in traffic.
No excuses.

Left without knowing the result, and had time to speak to a “journalist”
It also meant he didn’t celebrate very much if he left without knowing the result.
At least he got a free flag out of it.
Who cares, the likelihood of any game or event with 40000+ supporters means by chance at least one fan will probably leave early for whatever reason, the same would probably happen at any ground for any team

he got off his ass bought a ticket travelled to the game
Loads don't even bother doing that
See any live thread on here.
He goes up the back on 90 mins and then watches the rest think his team are out.
See the goal and celebrates
Given by the time the game KO again it will be full time (1 min left) he decides to head and beat the rush.
Im more inclined to think people who could go but don't are not real fans but even that wont be true in a lot of cases for a number of reasons.
I don't think is a big deal
Fek if I have the catch the 5.17 train I might leave bang on 90 mins to beat the rush...
Though plenty are away before me even then

but he thinks they won now if he only heard a roar would he not question where it came from and what it was about.
Or did he just assume it was a city goal?
He is possibly 2 mins from the ground.
I will assume he did see the goal and left as described.
And you can assume he didn't and thefore criticize the guy for paying his money and watching his team
Aye the entire stadium erupts in the loudest cheer it's heard since Aguero won the league for them.
Must've won a corner
Imagine paying money to not find out the outcome.
Could you imagine going to the cinema to see a film you want to see and leaving before the ending
Or paying for a book you wannabe read
. reading it until the last 20 pages/chapter and then binning it.

But he went he paid his money, meanwhile we listen/read from folk all the time who could but don't.

He missed the sight of a ref standing at a TV and then pointing for an offside.

Only left a game early once. Was dragged to a County Caley Scottish cup game as my brother was too hungover to go.
Was hanging out my erse, on a major come down and hadn't slept all weekend. Was January, winter sun in my eyes the entire time, baltic n'all. And I was watching two teams that I couldn't give a toss about playing crap football.
