Think you’ll be hard pressed to find a Wigan fan on here..but he has received very high praise right from the start of the season. Player of the month four times, in Championship team of the season, and more than once I have seen Wigan fans query whether he is one of the most talented players to play for them.
I used to want to see him go on a PL loan. Not that he necessarily needs it but more so Sarri wouldn’t ignore him. But Sarri has improved his squad rotation, competing for places so less worried about James making bare minimum appearances if he comes back next season. And while he should still be focused on at RB (imo) probably could be a role for him in midfield as a squad option
He battered us on Friday. He's was like a defensive version of Mbappe and was carrying the ball 50 yards a time. He got in championship team of the season also
Paul Cook said he took him as defensive cover but after two training sessions it was obvious he was going to be more than just cover.
Probably their stand out player this season and the reason they're outside the relegation positions.
In my opinion he's the stand out player from the academy, including CHO, and as BK said even if he started just on the bench, I don't think he would be there for too long.
If he weren't back in the fold for next season then serious questions should be asked of someone.
Would allow us to try and recoup some of the £24m spent on Zappacosta as well.
Personally, I'd stick him straight into our first team next season.

Be careful Superb, you'll upset the, 'He's not ready yet' squad!
He's definitely ready Brummie. As you say even if he starts on the bench next season it won't be long before he becomes a first choice regular. Assuming there's some sense at the club. Especially with Azpi clearly on the decline.

Yeah Superb, Azpi is starting to pick up a few bookings recently where his pace is letting him down!
I'd say out of all our youngsters, Jame's is the most ready for the PL.
That would be absolutely brilliant if he got going with us next season. Come on Sarri - make a name for yourself! You know it makes sense!

Oh dear!! I always try to be positive, and naively optimistic.
I weren't talking about your was talking in general.
CHOs appearances in Wembley semi and finals are getting overlooked to suit a narrative, no doubt it will be a similar song with James.
