Weird that Auba could potentially win the Golden Boot, net the only people that will have even noticed are Arsenal fans and those that have him in their FF teams; he’s hardly set the league alight like recent winners before him eg Kane, Salah, Aguero, Suárez.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly! He's a top player but should have so many more to his name
Sorry but Aubameyang isnt our main issue at the moment.

I didn't say he was the main issue. He scores goals but offers nothing else and doesn't turn up against the big teams.
My issue is with our pony midfield, arguably the poorest we have assembled for years.

Honestly we have all gotten too used to the type of midfielders we had in the likes of Fabregas, Santi and Rosicky.
It's kind of like how we've been pining for a Thierry Henry type striker no matter who we get. Miss a certain style.
We don't have a powerful and dynamic Mf and we don't have a skillful, fluid, ball retention type of Mf either
Since Santi got injured, our Mf has regressed ever season
Arsenal fans need to become angry. This team will probably stumble into 6th. place. Club needs someone who knows how to build a team and Emrey is probably not the right guy. Yesterday, on the sidelines, he looked both panicked and confused.
Arsenal needs to clear the decks and make the 2019-2020 season the first of a 3-5yr. TEAM rebuilding program. Many on the pitch yesterday seemed somewhere between lazy and confused. Lots of talented(?) pieces but not a talented team.

Why would you assume that's not already the plan?
How would you propose a club "clear the decks" anyway? Ditch the whole squad and play the u23s?
And why would your "3-5y TEAM rebuilding program" involve firing the coach after one season?
And why would you contradict yourself so much in one post??

As to the article's topic, I see the author's point.
Aubameyang has scored a lot this season - but he has arguably missed VERY easy chances (look at Chelsea away where that could have won us the game and as recently as Napoli away).
His off the ball play is pretty poor too if you are being honest...the number of poor passes are a bit on the higher end for someone at his level I would think.
Yet he is our top scorer. Very frustrating. If I had to go with one striker, I'd pick Lacazette every time. His all round play is significantly better and he scores a few too
