Stopping the clock seriously needs looking at in Football. The amount of time that gets wasted by the ball being out of play is not right. It's going to be ridiculous with VAR next season.

yeah agree it can't be that difficult for a forth official to manage the clock and stop it when the ball is not live in play.
ffs, like spurs havent done it in the past, have a fecking word with yourselves
I honestly don’t understand why this hasn’t already been automated.
E.g. 10 seconds for a goal kick or free kick, 5 seconds for a throw in. Take longer if you like, but be aware that additional seconds are added to a total being tracked on a computer.
Can see absolutely no issue with doing this, much more transparent and fair system. Takes a job off the officials’ backs too.
