I have never really understood why he was completely frozen out. I can't believe it was just for footballing reasons and have always thought something must have gone wrong behind the scenes.

I know a Youtube video can make anyone look good, but some of his goals before he joined us were brilliant. He looked like a proper striker, a bully even. He was in dutch squads for friendlies and even scored a penalty against England at Wembley.

I had high hopes for him, I'd like to say I still do. He had a habit of pinning himself against defenders but I never saw him muscled off the ball. If midfielders are willing to run in behind him, this isn't a bad tactic at all. Hazard said he loves playing with Giroud for this very reason. Check Son's goal away at Swansea in 2016/17, perfect example.

We just need to play to his strengths if we are going to play him.

Based on his performances to date, no, definitely not.

No! He is terrible. Happy for him to come on for 10 mins when we are out of ideas like the other night.

Thought llorente was really poor on Tuesday as well so would start son up front v West ham.

So was Sissoko mate. In fact Sissoko was one of the worse footballers I have ever seen at Spurs prior to his fantastic form. Never give up on someone mate.

That’s true, but my point still stands mate. Sissoko was honestly one of the worse footballers I have ever seen put on a Spurs shirt 12 months ago, he was that bad. Pochettino has given him the confidence and now look at him? Completely different player. Janssen was frozen out completely and is suddenly back in the frame. There’s a good striker in their somewhere. Time for Poch to work his magic

Janssen was giving so many chances to succeed. He just wasn't good enough for the prem. Simple as.

Sissoko wasn’t good enough for spurs and was given loads of chances.

Sissoko was an established premier league player and French international.

Janssen has scored a few goals in a pub league.

If we qualify for the champions league this weekend then by all means start him for the final two games.

Before I read the text of this article I thought 'why is there an article about Vinny Jones on the Spurs board?'

Janssen is still only 24 mate and just turned 22 when we signed him so still a young player. Janssen is also an Holland international and has 17 caps. I don’t see your point mate? Sissoko was awful. All I’m saying is if we can turn Sissoko into what he’s become, then I see no reason why we can’t give Vinny a chance.

never had a chance again though.

sissoko played more minutes than anyone last season and wasnt very good.

Don't think this has anything to do with Sissoko. Vinny cannot be any worse than Llorente was Vs Brighton. Worth a start and have Llorente on the bench

I’m guessing he had 35 chances plus training,

Poch obviously didn’t rate home so we chucked him out on loan where he also didn’t do that good.

Sissoko wasn’t very good but poch kept him around so maybe he saw that he could be useful.

I want him to succeed for himself more than Spurs, don't know why. Have the same feeling about Lamela but I've given up on him now.

I think most would like him to succeed because he seems a good lad but that’s doesn’t matter if the manger doesn’t

posted on 25/4/19

He has decent build up play and is more mobile then Lllorente but the best strikers are always in the right place at the right time and Janssen never was.

Not sure if he lacked confidence but he seemed scared in getting into the box for us.

Would like to see him succeed but also if Poch didnt have him in his plans it seems that he does not rate him unlike Sissoko who Poch has backed throughout.

Like the Brighton game he could not have been any worse than Llorente it is worth putting him on if it is not working out with Llorente but please I never want to see both playing at the same time again!

I think there's hope with VJ. Like Don, I'm not writing anybody off after the greatest sporting comeback of all time.
