Thought Guardiola summed it up nicely at the end of his press conference with this -

“It's not going to change my opinion of what we've done this season, how many titles we win. All respect is for my players and of course what Liverpool have done.”

It is simply staggering what both clubs have achieved this season. The level of consistency is just ridiculous, from individual players as much as the coaches and it’s a shame one set won’t get a trophy at the end of it as both deserve it.

Well said. There’s nothing but respect for what both teams are achieving between the ‘normal’ fans of both clubs. It’s just strange how fans of the clubs that are miles off the pace are using it to deflect from their own clubs failings.....

I think sometimes people take the comments from individuals on sites like this and then assume that to be the norm, when it’s really not the case.

Personally, I wouldn’t begrudge you winning this year at all. I said a couple of weeks ago, I imagine for a lot of Liverpool fans, it’s similar to how I felt in 2011/12 where winning the title will feel like the end of a long journey and there’s an emotional release there that is difficult to ever replicate as a lot of it is down to the time invested to get to it.

For me, I’ve felt since then, and particularly since Guardiola came in, just utterly privileged to watch the standard of football and coaching week in week out that I have regardless of the end result. I’ve never been one for football being about making others feel bad, more about the good it provides to me personally. As I said, I wouldn’t begrudge you that feeling I had in 2011/12 at all, I have Liverpool supporting friends that I would be very happy for.

The other thing I’d say is whoever does lose it, even if it’s down to losing a game where either team are expected to win, I think it’s long past the point either could be considered to have “bottled” it in any way too. To get the results that both teams have done over the past couple of months against the teams they have and under the pressure they are in, they all should be applauded.

I think the only thing thats happened here is pidier set himself up with an article fail and is being made a fool of most weeks now because of them and the bitters are trying to say its wound us up or something. Idk weird logic if you ask me.

Ive nothing against city and if you win it the best team won also the win streak you went on, your point average over the past two seasons and the top 6 head to head records etc fair facking play however unfortunate it may be.
