Stretty was a decent poster on the old 606, but i think somewhere along the line he had some sort of mental breakdown.

Living at home till your 30’s probably does that to you

Hey! I only officially moved out when I was 30!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m 26 and still feel embarrassed about it

No need! I'm now 41 and saved enough money to have put down deposits on two houses; one of which I now rent out to pay for the other! I'm not embarrassed at all!

That’s great news Diafol, it’s near enough impossible to get on the property ladder for our generation anyway. Still hoping to eventually move out over the next 18 months and embrace independence.

It's easier where I am to be fair but you'll get there. No shame in staying at home if you can save whilst you're there.

Only because you all live with your folks and spend the money you should be saving towards a house on £550 pcp deals for cars you can’t afford so that you look more successful than you are on Instagram.
I’m sick of kids driving brand new cars telling me their generation can’t afford to get on the property ladder. There are houses in areas of Manchester for c.£120k. You only need to be earning £20k a year to get a mortgage for that.

That’s fair enough, but that doesn’t mean there’s a housing crisis. That simply illustrates that letting the population of London get out of control has had disasterpus consequences for those who don’t want to move an hours train journey from where they grew up.

The market here has been at its slowest since the 2008 crash, people are losing their jobs because of Brexit and some people are waiting to see if Brexit actually happens to see if they’re still gonna be in a job. Bear in mind a run down flat in Zone 5 costs about 300k here too.
