I agree it's something we should maybe look at but isn't there some rule regarding how often you can do that kind of thing due to the fact that there are X amount of ST holders who've paid upfront.
I'm sure we'll do it something similar at some stage aswell as the 'Kids For A Quid' & 'ST bring a mate for a tenner' offers.
Kids for a Quid - isn't that the name of our latest transfer policy?
Im not sure if its an official rule that you can only do it a certain number of times but as Monster rightly says it would cause huge trouble amongst ST holders if they did this to much. When you buy a ST you only have to miss 2 games to lose money, its why I never buy one
Kids for a Quid against Brighton was how I became a fan!
Agreed that there's a couple of arguments for and against on this one, I'm a season ticket holder and have already missed 2 home games due to work... but that was my call when buying, I like sitting with the people i sit with week in week out, I'd prefer Hillsborough to be full to be honest and kids for a quid is great for me. Also if they do a game for anyone for a tenner, it's easy just add £10 to all ST holders account for either discount off away matches, coachs or merchanise etc. Fill the ground, cheer on the lads!
Good idea Ginger Y-front, i don't mind paying full price if my nephew goes for a quid also the more people in the stadiums the more food & drink they sell. The yanks do it that way keep everyone in the stadium for as long as possible with extra entertainment & they make a fortune on the sundries.
I’ve always felt there should be a greater loyalty scheme for fans. I’m pretty sure you used to get 10% off in the Owls Store as a season ticket holder, and now its 5% with the club releasing a minimum of 1 and sometimes even 2/3 kits a season now.
My clubs my club and I’ll go no matter what, but we do seem very slow to reward loyalty, instead dreaming up further ways of taking advantage of this rather than recognise and reward it. I’ve always thought season ticket holders should get a discount each year of 1% off their season ticket price, allowed to accrue to a maximum of say 20%. Some of you may think that’s a hefty amount but for 20 years of you putting cash in the coffers surely its not unreasonable? And lets face it who’d give up their ticket if they’d accrued a 15% discount just because they’d lost some interest, or the football wasn’t as good? You only have to compare average attendances this season to the previous time we were in this division under Sturrock to see where rewarding fans loyalty might impact. Was the football any prettier? No. Was the team any better? Probably not, so why the fall in attendance? Offer a reward and maybe some of those bums would still be on seats.
Stevenage have under 11s in for a quid as standard policy this season. It's working well, there's a lot of young fans at the club.
Still poor attendances though for the division. Too many people with a London club as their first team coming along to support their local club only when they play a big team.
17,000 is still pretty good for div 1, understandably a bit down considering the clubs recent performances
I think the beam back at Hillsborough has been confirmed, btw!
Can they bean it to America as well?

Problem solved!
Senor, some good ideas there. I have always wondered why football clubs don't do some sort of rewards scheme, after all every other type of business does them.
The kids for a quid is essential as this is the future life blood of the club and over the past few years I bet more kids have been going to the lane, its time to reverse the trend.
Does anybody know how many season tickets we sold this year?
