It's poor that we have lost 13 times and man utd the biggest club in the world are behind us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Having spent hundreds of millions too
The fact you've lost 13 games highlights my point.
Wait, what? It was Poch got us Top 4 now?
I mean we have scraped in by default. There is absolutely nothing to be proud of from this awful domestic campaign. Bailed out by others being inexplicably worse

I don't think it's that great a job to scrape in above us and Arsenal, all things considered.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's consider these things then:
No home stadium until late in the season
The club with the most players involved in the later stages of the World Cup
Constant injuries to players
No new signings to freshen up a small and tired squad
Yet despite that, we've made it to 70 points and reached two semi finals, and are still in one of them, which probably makes it a better season than last season, even with this rubbish form we're in.
It should be the other way round. Poor job from you and Arsenal to let us finish above you.
But considering the mess both clubs have been in this season I don't think scraping above us in the league is that impressive. It's definitely been a poor job from us, no doubting that, which is what puts Spurs' achievement into context. Arsenal less so, but given they've just handed over the reigns from a manager that has been their for 20 years and left the squad in a mess the fact they've pushed you so close says more about you than them.
You should have had top four wrapped up ages ago, but stumbled over the line.

United have been in a mess. Arsenal have slightly improved if anything.
You could argue that we were punching above our weight for the first half of the season, and the form now is balancing things out. I still say we've punched above our weight overall given our difficulties.
And yet despite them ours and Arsenal's have been more difficult hence the league positions. You always say you punch above your weight because it paints you in a better light. This season Spurs are where they should be and where most expected them to be, in the top four.

Just playing poorly is in your hands though so I don't consider that being difficult for you. Things like injuries and lack of home stadium aren't in your hands.
And when I talk about punching above our weight I mean as a whole across all competitions.

Exactly right!
Good to get out of this season and learn from it. There have been lots of mistakes at all levels, from Board to manager to players. Thankfully, nor harm done, other than losing our 'ending above LFC' trophy
