Ron, bit early to panic, 4th in the League (with a game in hand of the 2nd & 3rd).
Held Burnley (a championship side) away for 89 minutes
If you want to bring players in, this is presumably because you think the current players aren't good enough, so which players should go?
How much are you willing to pay personally (i.e. if Winkie said okay, I'll spend £2m, if all the Season Ticket Holders pay an extra x and I add y onto the price of normal ticket prices - what would the maximum you would be prepared to pay for x and/or y).
I am not panicking and I am not moaning about those players we have, as stated by Robinson and I quote "we have a small squad" this has in the past cost us auto promotion on a number of occations, I am sure you will agree. All I am saying is don't come the end of the season say "we could have had auto promotion but for the injuries and suspensions"
I don't think the fans will accept the same old excusees. I would pay more if the money was invested in players and not a stadium we can't fill.
Ron, but that is saying the players that come in to replace the injured and suspended ones aren't good enough. Rather than tying to bring players in, I would prefer that MK Dons had a reserve team that played regularly so that when they needed to step up for first team duties they were ready. This would also be a way of bringing the Academy players up through the ranks as well.
It is also worth pointing out that if all the season ticket holders paid an extra £100, that would only give the club £1/2m, which by the time you paid someone's wage wouldn't leave a lot to actually buy the player.
We do have a small squad, regardless, but it's funds and wondering if we can bring in or not, no point moaning about it now when the TM isn't available for purchase is it?
I'm also in the no-need-to-panic squad. We are doing more than OK so far - and against teams with bigger fan bases that bring in more cash. Also - I didn;t go, but the 3CR commentary at Burnley had lots of positives about the young players.
So overall I think we have a good first squad who will recover and come bcak, and soem good alternatives too.
Having said all that
- Mackenzie was an idiot to get a red (as KR agrees) - so thats just an example of a self-inflicted problem which will not be affected if we get more players
- we coudl still do with a more out-and-out striker - hoping Charlie MacD, Ibehre or another will up their game.

i think we dont NEED players, but we could do with a few loans and maybe a player in on a free. I'd like us to sign Alassane N'Daiye as he was very good for Palace, and is available on a free. I would have also liked Stephan Zubar, but he's signed for Bournemouth. Robinson and Gorman have so many contacts, so we should be able to get atleast a few on loan, Especially from teams like Liverpool.
The problem is that they still want paying, and the bigger the squad the larger the wage bill.
Also if they are on a free and a couple of clubs come for them, they are going to pick the one where they are more likely to get first team football. so it comes round again, who should lose their starting place or place on the bench
I think we could do with a couple of loan players, one striker and one in defence. In regards who might go, I haven't been that impressed with Angelo Balanta this time round, although he has scored and despite his injuries being a factor, I detect a hint of a sulk that ruins a lot of young players. As Robbo might say he needs to go out and enjoy it, if not he will live to reject it.
They'll also want PLAYING!
We can't just bring in loans and not use them, we done that with Amoo and apparently Liverpool weren't pleased that we didn't use him
Amoo was a strange one, although he only started once for Hull as well. A striker could possibly play with McDonald injured unless Lewis Guy or Daniel Powell is going to play up front.
I agree we need more players as we do have a small squad and get a lot of injuries and suspensions.
Furz, i hope Guy doesn't play upfront, he is IMO the worst player in the Squad, should definetly be sent back out on loan.
I wouldn't mind seeing a couple players, maybe a defender that can play centre back and left or right back and another out and out striker as back up for MacDonald seeing as Bowditch seems to be playing wide a lot.
I think Guy does have ability but doesn't seem to look up and see who is around him which means he runs into dead ends, but I agree if we could get an out and out striker it would be better.
At one time we were linked with Reece Styche at Forest Green, who seems a promising player and if we could get him on loan with an option to buy in January I would be pleased.
No need to panic just yet! We still have a few more players to come back from injury. Macdonald, Balanta and Doumbe! Also the youth we have are more than able to cover. I personally rate Chicksen and Flannagan but others do not have faith in them.
This rule about only 5 subs aswell has made it hard to have a bigger squad, that is probably another reason to lack of players.
Furz, I agree about Guy, there is the potential for him to be good and i remember him being good at Doncaster but he seems to thing he's Messi. If he played some good passes now and then he would be alright. I wouldn't mind getting Reece Styche, seems like a decent young striker and given the chance could score some goals.
Murray, i have complete faith in Chicksen and Flanagan like you do and wouldn't mind seeing them play more, i think people don't have faith as they don't play much. Im only 19 and played against Chicksen in 5-6 tournaments before he signed for dons years back and he was a good player then and has got better. He showed against Huddersfield what he can do, good pace, win tackles and was the only player running at people. I wouldn't mind seeing Chicksen being given a chance on the left side of the 3 behind the striker for a few games.
Murray, a good point about only having 5 subs, so there can only ever be 16 selected. The reason clubs let their players out on loan, is so they can get match practice and increase thier fitness. Why would a club let one of their players come just to sit behind the bench or in the stands.
So if someone comes in, someone else has to drop to the bench, then someone on the bench then has to drop off. Given that there is a number of loanees, it then reduces the options for players who can be dropped, it also stops any academy players breaking through, and potentially we could lose some up and coming players as they move to get 1st team experience.
Just found out that Reece Styche is injured.
Bring him in then he can keep Balanta company
Perhaps the club motto should be "Give me your tired, your injured, your huddled masses yearning to play for free"
Perhaps the club song should be
Arise ye players from your slumbers
Arise ye invalids of pain
For muscle in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of hurt
Away with all your afflictions
Healthy athletes arise, arise
We'll change henceforth your weary conditions
And spurn the sick bed to win the prize.
Can't see that catching on in the Cowshed mind you if we could get a Male Voice Chior together at least it would increase the attendance figures ,
I was thinking of a female choir although Girls Aloud will do.
From an outside perspective MK seem to have a decent team and I reckon will be up there end of the season. To be honest, like most Town fans, I was gutted not to play you lot at Old Trafford, atleast if we still lost the fans and Chairman wouldnt have been quite as obnoxious!
Good luck for the rest of the season, I think you will be a solid play off place and maybe higher if you can get a bit more depth into that squad.
Good luck to you as well, although this time I think you might make the automatics if you can play like you did in the 1st half against us.
Talking about Amoo, he has just signed for Bury on loan. I hope he doesn't score against us.
