No one "wants" him sold.

Not true

I think the treatment of Iwobi and Maitland-Niles from some arsenal fans has been nothing short of shameful.

Was at the game tonight. Literally just got back from the after party. Great game and Auba was mint. AMN started very poorly and the fans got on his back but he improved and was one of Arsenal’s best players

If people do simply want him sold in the same way they want someone like Mustafi binned then that is mental, just find that very hard to believe!

Aubameyang

Iwobi has had a lot of bad games and a poor season overall... 1 goal in 10 Europa games... 3 goals and 4 assists in 34 Premier League games. There's no hiding from that. He's extremely inconsistent and prone to switching off entirely which leads to us needlessly losing possession, he has full headless chicken games sometimes, he does have the odd game where he impresses but so does Mkhitaryan and even less frequently - Özil. I've also noticed at times this season Iwobi taking a leaf out of Özil's book and turning lazy when it comes to closing down the opposition which exposes us to more pressure because as we all know pressing requires everyone to be at it - this usually coincides with a headless chicken performance.

I don't dislike Iwobi, he usually works hard but he is not progressing, he has stalled the last few years and stats prove that, I see no improvement in him this season compared to last and if anything he has regressed slightly. My biggest concern with him is whether he has the footballing brain / concentration to improve.

I would love for him to prove me wrong but in my opinion he's very mediocre and should be no more than a squad player for us unless he improves quite dramatically.

A few years ago I got trashed on here for saying I prefer Auba ahead of Reus at Dortmund. I'm glad and vindicated we went for him.

At 23 he's not shown enough to suggest he's got a future at the highest level that's for sure.

It's whether Arsenal will reach the highest level or whether we'll sink further towards the level of players like Iwobi, Mustafi, Xhaka etc

Your owners are caaants and too tight to take you to the next level. Im surprised there hasn't been more protests tbh big investment needed but well done for getting to the final, hope you beat the rent boys

While the owner is a disgusting piece of shiiite that brings shame on the club there has been plenty of money spent, it's just been spent incredibly badly until very recently.

Wage bill is insane vs the squad quality and we wasted hundreds of millions on utter dross

Maitland-Niles had a difficult start to the game but recovered well. He really needed more assistance early on because they were constantly looking to stretch him with 2v1's at every opportunity. I'm not sure in what position he will end up perhaps full-back/wing-back is not right for him, it certainly isn't his natural position but he's done a good job for us overall there this season in place of Bellerin, the guy has good potential and is one of our few English players... Would be insanity to get rid.

100000000% agree.

Thought myself he had a very difficult first half yesterday. Emery rectify it at halftime and gave him a bit more support. He recovered well.

To Aubameyang. This was the Aubameyang that I know he can be from the first successful Dortmund days. Running at defenders and goal and score some beautiful goals and not tap ins. Loved his work rate and comittment. Need to do it more. People who wanted him or Laca sold are complete idiots.

If I'm honest if a team bidded £60-70 Mil for him it would be hard not to sell. If that money is reinvested back into the team it makes sense, however we all know that is not the case at Arsenal.

This performance from Aubamayang was world class. It had everything from amazing finishing to some great workrate.

It's just a shame the team doesn't play like this away from home in the PL as if we did Aubamayang would be on 30PL goals at least.

Harrods strike force, Poundland defence.

Deserves a chance in midfield, but don't think he will get it.
I compared him to Ray Parlour, if he has half the career the Romford Pele had then he will have done well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
AMN has done well.
I will prefer he returns to midfield where his pace and dribbling will be an asset. It will mean though we need a RB.
If we manager to shift one the wasters in Ozil/ Xhaka and recruit say a Rabiot, that area of the pitch would have been upgraded.
A triumvirate of Torreira, AMN and Rabiot would be tasty.

Rabiot is a waster with an attitude

I don't see why he has an attitude. He didn't want to sign a contract with PSG because he wants to play first team football. Gotta respect that decision as not everyone would want to leave to comforts of PSG.

It's PSG who have acted like babies by banishing him to the reserves. Tbh they could have used him in the CL.

If absolutely love Rabbit at Arsenal. Anyone who says he's not an upgrade on Xhaka or even Ramsey is a fool.

A base of Torreira and Rabiot would be great imo. Get rid of Ozil and Micky and add an attacking MF in and the MF could be sorted for a few years.

Auba was brilliant yesterday. His best game in an arsenal shirt.

Eventhough he has scored goals for us, he has not replicated the kind of dominance he showed yesterday in tough league games especially away from home.

Europa league does not have the same physically demands and intensity the Premier league has.

But regardless it was a great performance and I hope he can turn up against Chelsea

I have said it before and will say again, if we get a really good offer for him then it will be hard to turn down especially at his age

Why would you want to sell a goalscoring striker? I remember the days when some Arsenal fans were crying out for a "20 goal a season striker" and now they've got that and they are still moaning.

Castor wants to sell a striker who has 29 goals for us this season despite us barely creating any chances and forcing him to play out wide

Do you not understand how ridiculous you sound? Ok he might be 29, but Aubameyang has still got a good couple of years left in him. I would rather have a player of that quality than not have him.

Auba has 29 goals and 8 assists in all competitions.
Lacazette has 19 goals and 13 assists in all competitions.

Some Arsenal fans really don't appreciate just how fortunate we are to have these strikers at our club.

Castor would always find a reason to moan about anything pertaining to the club. What a fan
