Odoi --- Cout --- Pulisic

Could be good

Hazards going to RM this summer is the worst kept secret. The issue is how the feck are we going to replace him ?

Coutinho flopped at Barca, understandably they want to cash in on him whilst his stake is still high. He’d probably cost more than what we’d sell Hazard for, and he’s no way anywhere near Hazards level. In fact I’d be tempted to promote Mount in the first team and spend big on a decent striker.

I thought you lot had a transfer ban?

Coutinho's a quality player and their are people at Barca who know this and don't want to sell.
With our other young players, Like CHO,RLC,Pulisic,AC,Rudi,Ampadou, etc etc ,plus the loan players like Tammy ,Mount James etc ,
I think we have the makings of an exciting team over the next few years.

but it would be nice to have a fast young C/F,
.... someone like Werner for example.

Nah, we like old, past it carthorses here. Preferably ones who don't score many goals as well.

How can you buy Coutinho if you are not allowed to buy players next season?

Appeals will delay the ban until after we have registered the purchased players hopefully.

I’m hoping the transfer ban stops us from signing Coutinho actually. I’m sure he’s a good player, but he will come in as a direct replacement for Hazard and will cost more - and inevitably fail to live up to expectations. There’s no way he could live up to the standards set by Hazard.
Our youngsters coming back from being on loan will be fine for one year - except our strikers. We have Higuain, Giroud, Batshuayi, Morata and Abraham, and I personally don’t think too much of any of them. But we’ve survived without a decent striker for a couple of years already - one more year won’t kill us.

Of course we can't replace Hazard like for like, but that can be to our advantage in the long run,if we have any three of these fast, tricky, attacking/forward players like CHO/Coutinho/Pulisic,plus Willy and Pedro ,with Jorghi,Kante and RLC,coming through from behind, defenses would have more than the one player(like Hazard) to worry about !,just my opinion of course,
but we do need a younger C/F as well.
