Very honourable that. Didn't want us United fans to think badly of him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was right. I thought really badly of him when that all came out.

Giggs was close to my favourite player in the 90s. His actions took the gloss off him from my perspective.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll be honest and say it didn't bother me that much. It's his performances on the pitch that matter to me. Yes, it was a $cummy thing to do but I don't look at football players as role models really. I can understand though why people would be let down. I'd have preferred it not to happen of course.

Yeah I’m not saying it’s good enough, I’m just trying to understand why it is. I think it’s more than just lazy and wanting to pick up their wages.

Well said, Elvis.

The lack of effort and attitude is the issue for most frustration with him.

He really is so good on his day (which isn't as consistent as it should), and he wants to be a leader. The talent is clearly in abundance but the mentality isn't.
------------

Indeed. We all know what he is capable of. He could easily be one of the very best (perhaps the best) midfielder in world football. He just doesn't have the right attitude to do it. He will never reach his potential in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's nowhere near the best midfielder in World Football, get your head checked pronto.
------------------

Nobody has said that he is. Try to read what people have posted before making a fool of yourself in future.

It also comes from the manager as well. I don’t think any of them truly believed they had what it took to be champions. Especially Mourinho. If the players, fans and manager don’t believe you can be the champs then what chance do you have?

This is the fundamental thing that was lost with Fergie. The players, fans and manager didn’t just believe they had what it took to be champions, they expected it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ole seemed to be very positive about the players when he came in. Let's hope once he's cleared out the players he doesn't want he can get this positivity and belief into them. It may be more of a consistent belief if it's his players as well.

posted on 14/5/19

Ole’s another that doesn’t believe they can be either. With great reason, obviously, but it’s kind of difficult to get out of that rut when you have to have some form of realism as well.

It's almost like we need a talismatic figure to come in and change our fortunes! Do Leeds want to buy Luke Shaw?

Pogba's antics on Instagram don't bother me in the slightest to be honest. If he was giving 100% on the pitch then there wouldn't be an issue. However, because he brings this attention on himself he is also going to be a target.

Very different to Giggs who kept things hidden rather well for years! Giggs also performed on the pitch too and, even if having a bad game, the effort was always clearly there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The point I’m making is how Utd fans treat both players when it comes to things they do/did outside of football.

Not working hard enough should draw ENOUGH attention, his hair cuts should be ignored. Why aren’t the tattoos on Phil Jones ever pulled up as a reason for his poor form? What about his hair cuts? Why wasn’t Luke Shaws hair cut blamed for him being over weight? Are De Geas celebrations by his goal mouth when we score to blame for his bad form, maybe it’s his Twitter account?

People should only judge him when he’s on the pitch and if people want to be boo him they should also boo everybody else who is underperforming.

Individual abuse should never be allowed, I don’t care how much you pay for a ticket.

Kung Fu. I don't abuse any United players. I'll have a whinge here if they haven't played well enough but I'd never resort to booing them or sending silly internet threats/abuse.

The point I'm making though is because Pogba puts himself out there so much more than most footballers he's also going to get more abuse simply because the target is 'bigger'. I don't care about his haircuts etc but when there's a clear avenue in which to attack him (social media etc) then that's what people will do unfortunately.

Mate I never said you abuse players I’m talking about small sections of the Old Trafford crowd.

There’s needs to be lowered expectations and patience by the club and fans, and new players brought in that can work towards it.

Sadly that won’t happen and we’ll be stuck in a malaise.

To be honest, though, I’m not actually that bothered as long as we play entertaining football. It’s the thing I crave the most.

And why I’m still fairly content with Ole as I do believe he can bring that next season. Will that alone set us on our way back to the top? Probably not, we need much more. Is Ole the man to bring us that much more? Again, probably not, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a disaster either.

Who are these people going on about his hair cut KFC? Sounness? Crooks? I have only seen/read of a couple our fans going on about it.

That said, if you put yourself on a pedestal with all this social media business and etc. then be prepared to get shot down when you don't put in the effort on the pitch.

Dazza. If Ole improves our fitness, gets some good players in, and gets us playing good attacking football next season I'd be more than happy. That combination should, at least get us challenging for top 3. I do also happen to think that with a tail wind and a lot of luck we could keep up with Liverpool next season as well.

I don’t think he’s here just for the pay check

Sorry but I think you’re very wrong. There are zero footballing reasons to joking United over City at the moment, and he’s not a boyhood fan or local lad.

I don’t see us being near Liverpool, sadly. They won’t get as many points as this year, I don’t see them getting the luck and decisions that have had a big impact on them accumulating 97 points, but they’ll still be right up there again, unfortunately.

I just hope they take a mental hit after being so close to winning it. Would be nice if Spurs can compound that misery. Ffs, having to rely of facking Spurs of all teams to do that.

It was a strong wind to be fair! To be serious though they've shown that good sensible recruitment alongside peds and a great work ethic can get you far.

Hopefully they'll have a double mental hit over the summer to consider along with some uncertainty about their players (to be honest I don't care enough about any United player at present to worry about it if they leave!) going to Barca or Madrid.

Imagine if we had Berbatov. Would he of been hated?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair at that time we could afford to have a 'luxury' player in there. I really liked watching him play but I don't think he was right for the team at the time. I think he'd fit in better now to be honest as he'd be much more reliable than Rashford or Lukaku in holding up the ball and getting others into play.

It’s actually funny hearing their fans say var will be a good thing for them in the league.

That story was "broken" by A Bola, which is considered here to be about as reliable as the daily astrology column in the Star.

It's likely completely fabricated ballocks.
