Seems that Prutton & McGoldrick are now very doubtful for the match on Sat but COG has a good chance of being involved!

I think JoC will come in for Prutton.

Can't believe McDoldrick is injured. 3 strikers and signed and all injured in 1st match. Un-believable.

I think Megson will play JOC too, unfortunately!

It's the Wednesday rule, isn't it.

wawawawawa! shutup

The remarkable thing about JoC is that he never gets injured!

Like a real life version of Captain Scarlett. But worse at playing football.

JOC will start on Saturday as they won last week. Fair enough in my opinion.

I think JOC takes a bit too much stick to be honest. It was the JOC/Potter Axis of Evil that really used to wind me up. With just one of them in the side, we can almost cope.

Looking for a very solid home win on Saturday. I'll say 3-1 owls. Madine, Marshall and Baath.

Yep, sadly JOC was signed as imediate back up to Semedo and Jesus and will always get the nod if one of those is out

Imre, shut up

Joc will play its the way of the world...

What would the odds be on JOC hatrick?

posted on 22/9/11

I agree with NYO....JoC does take far too much stick, but luckily he's a fighter. His running around like a headless chicken does tend to work at times cos it knocks the rythm out of the opposition. If this was a war instead of a game of football, JoC would defo get the nod from me. Tbh, he didn't play badly last saturday.

Despite not being a fan of JOC, if it was Semedo missing out then I could understand him getting the nod but with it being Prutton, the supposed more attacking of the pair, then for me it should be Lines as it's more like for like.

Ok, away from home where the oppo is expected to be on the front foot (as last week) then JOC/Semedo is fair enough but at home I'd like to have someone a) more forward thinking & b) capable of kicking the ball.

mega milan ! ive dispatched 3 of my most violent line dancers! they will be at your place within 6 to 7 weeks ! that all depends on rough seas across the atlantic ? but they are good swimmers so i exspect they will get there in 5 weeks .you may think that harry enfields scousers have come to visit you ? but these guys dont knick hub caps !but dont worry ! i will use your head as a trophy in my new apartment ,it will look very nice above the fireplace i hope best wishes imre

I think the whole team should dye their hair ginger similar to the Romanian teams bleach blonde.

It'll be hard to spot JOC then

Injury table's filling up isn't it! it's a good job we will beat Exeter with some of our best players.. missing right lads?

posted on 22/9/11

Of course we will Stateside.

I'm feeling very confident about Saturday.

Probably not a good thing tbh.

I bet JOC scores if he starts. He played in the last game and the team got a result so he should get a start if thats Megsons philosophy.

Id still rather see Lines though, we havent seen enough of him yet

posted on 22/9/11

To be fair, we have no reason so far this season to be anything other than optimistic and confident for our home games. We have looked solid at home so far, no reason why that won't continue.

As for JOC, like Monster said, I would prefer to see someone a bit more creative and attack minded to replace Prutton if he is not fit. Lines fits that bill for me as he definitely has the ability to link the midfield and attack far better than JOC. No problem with him coming on for the last 10 to close out the game but I wouldn't start with him.

I think he never gets injured because generally you have to get somewhere near the ball to pick up an injury!! Running round like a headless chicken may disrupt the opposition but it just proves he is fit!!

Dont worry Imre, i'll beat them back so much harder that it will take months for their injuries to heal but I wont hit their arms and legs, they gotta swim back to show you what a fine job they did

Ah, love the banter

Rob Jones is guaranteed to start if fit - Megson basically said as much when talking about his injury. Seems under Gary, certain players keep their place no matter what and others will never get near the team..

Even though he previously said that if they're not playing well someone else will come in no matter who they are, i think Meggo says one thing then does another sometimes, like saying that he wasnt lookin for cover for Weaver...so he brings in Bywater a week later. I feel for ROD as he is one for the future and that must have knocked his duck off a bit, he's conceded a few goals coz of the defence in front of him, if it wasnt for him we would have lost 10-1 v Stevenage, the mind boggles

I'm a bit confused as to why ROD is suddenly deemed not good enough too. I'm happy to sign a Championship level 'keeper but do wonder why it's needed.

Unless Jones suddenly improves, I worry for our prospects with him and Batth at the back every single game. Megson was happy to point out how many goals we were conceded with Reynolds and Morrison in the team but seems to overlook what's going on now.

posted on 23/9/11

The word coming out is 'experience' so that's why Bywater is in!

Yeah, the reason is that Baath/Jones are his signings & the others were Irvine's.

posted on 23/9/11

Ok Monsty fair point but why didnt Meggy come out and say that to begin with instead of saying that we didnt need any cover and therefore giving ROD a boost and get him thinking that he is good enough to replace Weaver when, it seems, in Meggys eyes he obviously isnt. How the hell are the likes of ROD and Jameson goin to the experience if Meggy is goin to both lead them on and not give it to them, i just dont get how Meggy works

posted on 23/9/11

Megson has continually praised ROD but has decided we need experience (the one thing ROD is lacking) so he's gone & got it!

I really don't see the issue here.

posted on 23/9/11

Well my issue is Meggy saying one thing then doing the oposite & how must poor ROD be feeling, he gets a few games, puts in decent performances despite conceding (Through no fault of his own IMO but the defence and quality goals) then finds himself back at square one, fair doo's if Meggy feels a more established keeper is needed in our push for promotion but why didnt Meggy say that in the first place instead of saying that we wont be looking to replace Weaver?? Nothing against Bywater at all, think he's a good keeper but I think ROD dosnt deserve to be messed around, he will learn with every game and get better and better if he keeps getting games, now thats not goin to happen for at least three months
