Thats basically what he said he meant and left the club
If only the CL was for sale they'd clean up, lucky for us its not
They're not even on the map until they've conquered europe and they're about to be banned
These are the teams Mancunian Citay beat to win the FA Cup:
Rotherham, Burnley, Newport, Swansea, Brighton and Watford

Gotta be the best league side in the world at the moment
It's very hollow with no real "magic" like you get with other great sides as they just bought their way to it with oil money but the team itself is seriously good

You can't complain about sides spending money and have campaigns against your chairman because he's not spending money.
This City team is the result of far more than throwing money around. They put a structure in place years ago centered around attracting one manager, got him, and 100% backed him once they did. If you want an example of other "oil tycoon" club who fail the establish this kind of long term planning look no further than us

This assumes Arsenal fans want their owner to pump his own money into the side. Personally I'd stop supporting the club if he did. To be honest my interest is already at an all time low, a large part due to having such a disgusting caant as owner. The fact he's merely in the background skimming funds and leveraging against our assets is bad enough, to have a vile priiick like that in public view after buying success would be the only thing worse.
The City is team is completely and entirely the result of oil money being pumped into the club. They have spent a fair bit of the money very very well but they are still playing by different financial rules to the rest of the league. They're an incredible side, their also dismantling the English game as a legitimate competition and their success is hollow. You can tell it's meaningless just by the way it's welcomed by their City rivals

99% of fans would rationalize it and enjoy the success. We have, City have. Maybe you're different and that's cool, but most fans would very much see it as a positive for their club and feel no sense of shame or feeling hollow about it. Money guarantees nothing, it's an advantage but you still have to use it correctly.
Taking a Chelsea/Arsenal example. I can personally say even if Roman went bankrupt tomorrow I'd still rather have him as a chairman over Stan because for as much unintentional damage he's done the last 15 years in an effort to keep us competitive, his heart's in the right place. Yes it's a mutually beneficial relationship of course, and he's certainly no saint, but everything he's done has been about trying to make Chelsea F.C. the best club it can possibly be. Even without a penny in his pocket I'd take that over Stan who petulantly couldn't give two sh!ts about Arsenal.

Good comment, appreciate that completely. I fully understand that my personal feelings are pretty weird, even silly but it is my view on money in football.
And yes our owner really is that bad, glad you acknowledge that too.
The more I find out about the bloke the more disgusting he becomes, whether it's shooting endangered animals or being part of the Walmart group lobbying against a higher minimum wage, to buying up sports teams and stealing their funds, leveraging their assets and buying up land... you get the point - he is vile.
If he shoots any animal just for fun, let alone dangerously endangered one's then we have found something we can agree on - he must be vile!

Best team in the world never to reach the CL Final. Hmmm, how does that work? Best team in the English Premiere League. The world? Fark off!

Thats basically what he said he meant and left the club
If only the CL was for sale they'd clean up, lucky for us its not
They're not even on the map until they've conquered europe and they're about to be banned
