After the way everyone was waanking furiously over him at the world Cup, his demise delights me. Awful player

He was never the greatest at defending but in the days when he would play every now and then he would come into the team and impress with his delivery. These days Trips couldn't cross a cheque.

Why what has he done to you?

If Winks is fit then I am not worried about midfield. Winks, Sissoko and Eriksen dropping deeper is probably better than their midfield.

Trippier on the other hand...Mane and Robertson are going to have the time of their lives. We need to play deep and always have someone helping the hapless Trippier out.

lets not dig any players out .. they got us this far ffs

I really don't like digging our own players out but Trippier literally had a hand in all Ajax goals in the semi.

West Ham would bite our hand off for Trippier if truth be known, he would be a massive improvement for them.

Trippier is without doubt Spurs weakest link, He should be nowhere near the squad, let alone starting. But we all know the manager has a blind spot for him, and will not take the tough decision and drop him fir the final. We will have to hope the other ten have the game of their lives.

He’s facking atrocious mate. I cannot believe what a crap season he’s had and how KWP hasn’t been given the chance of a sustained run to replace him. Praying these rumours are true and that he’s off to Napoli. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against him as a bloke, but he’s a liability in defence and just needs moving on.

I'm praying too

Don't like to criticize Poch but it does seem like he does not see how sheet Trippier is or maybe he does not trust the alternatives?

Yep.... Sadly Trips aint gonna learn how to suddenly defend in 3 weeks. Its become almost guaranteed than we'll concede goals coming down our right hand side and now we are up against one of the best left side combinations in Europe in Mane & Robertson. I don't think there's a hope in hell of us keeping them out. Just hoping they have an off day and we can be aggressive and keep them on the back foot. The press is gonna have to be fantastic for that to happen. I would play KWP as I think he has a better defensive understanding than Trips. Its not like he's ripped up any trees going forwards this year and admits himself that his form has been poor all year. I would do anything possible to keep Trip out of this game but sadly the squad depth & quality doesn't really allow it.... Don't trust Aurier, KWP lacks experience, Dier has been poor wherever he's played (BUT Might be the best option in the circumstances) and Sissoko cannot be moved from CM... Fingers crossed

Foyth is a red card waiting to happen. Plays himself into trouble far too often.... Don't trust him in a game of this size

Ah yes because he is so much better than Fredericks who is turning into a very fine player

To be fair Sandy Poch hasn’t had much choice but to play him; Aurier has been injured and is a bit of a clown himself, and he obviously doesn’t think KWP is ready. Foyth has actually looked decent there at times and given the choice I’d have him start the final over Trippier. He’d be a better option for the time he’s on the pitch, til he gets sent off.

I know where you are coming from Ace. I am sure if Auruer had not been injured he would have played more. Trippier is really in be default.

I'd put Dele and Sissoko in the middle if Winks is not fit.
As for RB I'd stick with Trippier as Aurier no doubt will probably end up Red carded .

I heard that Aurier has pace but whenever I've seen him he doesn't have any.

To be fair he didn’t show much potential with us, had some pace but not much else.

He developed well with Fulham but he’s a midtable right back at most.
