are they any good LMC?
kinda like under 18's and that i don't pay much attention to be honest
I'll try to tune in for the Scotland games and I'll try to watch a couple of the games in the groups and then some of the latter stages.
It's good to see Scotland in the tournament and I think we've got a few good players - the girl at Chelsea won POTY there and the girl at Fiorentina seems to be a good player. Hopefully they do well, although both England and Japan are tough fixtures.
Technically the womens game is pretty decent and improving quickly all the time.
Its not as good viewing IMO, just not the same pace in the womens game that you get in the mens game.
I know a few female players and the one thing i have always said that the completely agree with is that the goalkeepers in the womens game just seem to be awful!!
Dont worry however the transgenders will be along in no time to improve it !!!

I haven’t watched it, but the blurb (probably not the best expression considering the topic! ) was enough to put me off.

The squad has improved the past couple of years and we have some decent players. As exepcted of a Scotland squad, the achievement was in qualifying itself. Got a really tough group, as England are one of the favourites and Japan have already won it.
As for the game itself. Its not as technically good as the men's game, and is at a different pace. The problem with women goalkeepers is obviously the height. If you can get the ball high enough, then even the tallest of female keepers isn't going to stop it.
I'm not sure why we need to compare it to the mens game. It's obviously going to be very different so what's the point?
If you put women's sprinters in the mens 100m they'd come last. But does that diminish the women's event? No.
I'm not convinced many women's boxers would do well in the men's events but that's not to say that they aren't good boxers.
I find it bizarre that people compare it to be honest. Judge it on its own merits.
Best of luck to the Scotland team. I watched one of the world cups a while back i think probably 2011. Found it strange watch as there seemed so much space right from first kick off. I might try watch a bit as Scotland are in it but also might not bother.

I remember being at a friends kids christening, was the 3-2 game at parkhead, when barry robson scored with a pen. There was about half a dozen of us in the janitors room at the centre, all watching it

I think it's not a bad watch but disagree on the goalkeeper comment.
Ronnie Simpson was one of the best keepers i ever saw....only 5ft 9. Goram wasnt much taller than that. Probably most female goalies are as tall as them.
Put Simpson and Goram in goals for any womans match and it finishes 0-0. Guaranteed.
LMC what are your predictions for the tournament?

a bunch of averages footballers are being given careers simply because they have a vagina.
the boys in those youth teams teams will most likely never earn a penny out of the game despite their ability being greater.

Should probably just drop the 'hunter' part from your name, mate.
