That's pretty ridiculous
No Ramsey and no Mhki. What the fack will our bench look like
This is an absolutely terrible move from UEFA, Arsenal should just pull out of this. No player should be scared to fecking play in a big European final.
Game likely to go to extra time or pens and with iwobi as our only viable option from the bench, this is bad news
Arsenal would garner a hell of a lot of respect if they did refuse to play !,but of course ,that will not happen.
I feel for the fans(of both sides )who will pay out a lot of money to go there,.............I will not be one of them.
Crazy situation.
If a player's safety cannot be guaranteed then a match of football shouldn't really be played there IMO.
Ridiculous decision to play the game there in the 1st place but from a football standpoint he's crap so no big deal. Chelsea being without RLC & CHO is a much bigger loss
The problem is Arsenal haven't qualified for the CL so this game is their only hope cos if they already have they could have pulled out of this game,Sad really.
That’s a real shame for him. But I’m not sure what Uefa can really do. They can’t just move the venue. It’s a bizarre situation.
Sounds like he's not going because he's scared, what a big jessie.

Rlc who never starts a game for Chelsea
Daz, I'm sure there are hundreds of clubs that are willing to lend their stadiums to host a big European final.
But they aren’t going to do that because of one player’s safety concerns. I feel sorry for Mkhi, but it’s ridiculous to expect Uefa to move the venue because of this.
They shouldn't be hosting these finals in venues where there is clear political tension in the first place though.
If Arsenal were already qualified for the CL I'd be all for a boycott but long term we really need to give ourselves the best chance of qualification
The situation is a disgrace though, just move it to Wembley. Common sense has to prevail sometimes
Boycott it then, even if it's just the fans.
UEFA would feel very silly with even a partially full stadium for a final.
Supposedly Chelsea have only sold 600 tickets so it's a possibility anyway.
I’m not sure I agree. How many Armenian players were even in the Europa this season? It’s an unfortunate situation for him, but you can’t really be making decisions on where a final should be played because of it - especially when the governing bodies are trying to remain politically neutral.

Honestly, I'm of the opinion that a European final should be held in Europe, so we wouldn't even get to this issue in the first place.
Imo it sounds like an overreaction by the club. Baku hosts F1 and there has never been any security incidents. I doubt the threat is as serious as it's being made out to be.

Yes they should, if a country has such aggressive issues with their neighbours they shouldn't be hosting
If you think this is bad, wait until you see the mess at the next World Cup. The Qataris have beef with half the Middle East.

Bit different, there are no Armenian drivers for a start.
Dazza,
But this decision isn't politically neutral, this is UEFA essentially siding with Azerbaijan. Also, it's not just about the players, there are Arsenal fans who have Armenian heritage that will not be able to attend. How is that fair or inclusive?
Azerbaijan should not have been a place to host a final. The severing off diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia is not a recent issue, so as soon as UEFA knew there could potentially be lives at risk/that it would be inaccessible for people of a particular nationality, they should not have been allowed to bid for a spot.
Hosting it in Azerbaijan is not just stupid for political and logistical reasons, it is stupid for common sense reasons too. Anyone with half a brain could know this.
UEFA's handling of the situation has been absolutely terrible, too.
