There are successful players who played under 19, first class cricket from one country and represented another country at international level.Kevin & Tahir to be specifc. Additionally, been Pakistani, I know couple of leggies who played FCC in Pakistan but migrated to Australia and are playing FCC there. This hue and cry is targeted against England because they have won world cup and have been dominating ODI cricket for considerable period. England world champs, full stop.

Most recent English players seem to only watch Ashes Tests and county cricket
