Kane bench or start & Trips

Kane will be on the bench, as the first 20 minutes will in my opinion be frenetic. Poch will bring him on in second half at around the hour mark.

Kane has to start if available

I would start kane and drop Alli. I would also rather Aurier play. But no chance Poch would even consider not starting Alli and Trippier. Imo lucas will miss out.

No way is Kane 100% FGS!
He starts on the bench and maybe comes on last 30 mins.
That's all for Harry.

If Kane limps off after 10 mins its a criminal waste of a sub so if he starts it better be a sensible rather than emotional decision.

Kane won't give a fack about any docs advice and will tell Poch he wants to start, strong management is required.

Does anyone have any info on whether winks has been training?

posted on 26/5/19

Kane absolutely has to start, he has been our top scorer for the past four seasons. I cannot believe anybody would even contemplate him not starting in what is possibly the biggest game in Spurs history.

What would be the point of saving him. Liverpool may be out of sight by then.

Spurs were absolute rubbish without him in the last month or so of the season. The win at Ajax masked how much Kane was missed. They lost twice to Man City, Liverpool, West Ham, Bournemouth, Ajax and drew with Everton. The only wins were at home to two of the worse sides in the league Huddersfield and Brighton.

Kane is our best player, and has to start. I cannot believe supporters are saying Winks must start but not Kane. Unbelievable.

You want our "best player" to hobble off with another ankle problem after ten minutes?
He's not yet recovered fully. That's the problem!
Are you too much of a knuckle head to not understand that?
Sandy, I'm shocked

The problem is Sandy that Kane has not played for two months so he will not be match fit.

Of course if he was match fit then I don’t think there will be a dispute.

Did you read the Jenas article for reasons why he shouldn’t start? It was quite insightful.

But he has recovered hence why he’s starting back training.

Son or Moura would get bullied by VVD and Matip up front. If kane is fit he starts. Even at 70% he is good at holding the ball up and a dangerous player.

Personally I would like to see Son and Moura playing either side of him. Would give the Liverpool full backs something to think about when they bomb forward.

I can see what Jenas is saying, and it would also mean that if it came to it, Kane would be available for pens, and you'd want him most of all involved.

On the other hand, it's an assumption that he's going to be rather rusty, and for all we know Kane might come back into the team looking really sharp. This happened a couple of seasons ago and he even said that being out with his injury made him sharper.

I would start him. If he starts to tire then just bring on Llorente instead to do the job in the second half of holding up the ball when their defence starts getting tired themselves. We'd also have Dele/Lamela/Lucas we could bring on.

I don`t care if he is not 100 per cent match fit, some of the other players will not have played for a month either, so they will not be match fit.

It is a one off game, and possibly the best chance ever of actually lifting the CL, so would be madness to leave your best striker out. This may be Spurs only ever chance at this trophy, so have to take risks. It is a 90 minute game of football, and if Kane is anywhere near fit, which he probably is, then he absolutely has to start.

As I posted the form has been shocking at the back end of the season, the two CL ties were both won on away goals, not on actually winning the ties outright, and the Prem form has been awful without Kane.

Kane isn’t gonna be fully fit to go up against Liverpool from the start, I’d be half tempted to start Llorente so we can get Kane and either Moura/Son on in the second half to go at them when they’re tired

Not sure why this is a debate here, if Kane is fit he starts it’s as simple as that. If he’s not completely fit, then yes I understand starting him from the bench, but if Kane is fit and ready to go, why is he going to break down in the middle of the match? You can bet your bottom dollar, if Mo Salah was out for 2 months and. Was in the exact same situation as Kane is, Liverpool would 100% start him if he were fit. It’s not the time to be clever or assume because we beat Ajax without Kane, we will beat Liverpool. Kane is our best player and our top goal scorer, if fit he f*** plays end of story.

I’m sure Kane will start. Whether or not that’s the right call I’m not sure. Lucas however, has to start, whether Kane starts or not. Currently our most dangerous player

And Lucas will start. I would have Son and Lucas either side of Kane. That front 3 is as good, if not better than Liverpool’s front 3 for me.

We just play our strongest available XI, this is a CL final, not a pre season friendly. Amazing how some are saying start Llorente over Kane.

I believe that the start of the game will be to fast for Kane and that he could be used to more effect 2nd half and to give Son and Lucas a push knowing that Kane is waiting to come on, dont worry Sandy we wont be 4-0 down, also Winks to start, definitely

Why would you start Winks and not Kane? He won't be match fit either. Very strange!!!!
