Nope.
Heard he was a left back rather than a centre back though?

Nobody cares what you think Toor.
Just looked him up. According to Wiki he's mainly a left fullback but has played left wing and central defender. I've never heard of him before, but that means nothing, I'd never heard of lots of SAFs signings that turned out great.
Can only be an upgrade on the "next Duncan Edwards" and Mike....
De Ligt aside, I don't particularly see why we'd be going after young CB's given we have Lindelof, Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah & Bailly in the squad. Bailly may be off and Fosu-Mensah may not make the cut, but we'd be surely better off getting some proven quality in that position.
I'm off the opinion that unless a really top quality CB is available then I'd sooner see us strengthen other areas of the pitch and promote Axel to the first team. We have a number of key positions that need strengthening and an improve midfield, right back and right sided attacker would help our defence.
Bailly and TFM haven't looked good enough and Tuanzabe has a long way to go.
We need a leader in there, which is why De Ligt would be perfect.

I agree we need some leadership and you're probably right about TFM & Bailly. I think you're wrong on Tuanzebe though. He looked absolutely at home whenever he has put the shirt on and has been excellent at Villa. Can also play CDM and RB.

My feeling on that is that, for now at least, if we sort out the RB position (Meunier), that would leave us with Dalot & Young (I know, I know) to cover both FB positions. So I'd make Dalot and then Young (in that order) the back up LB & RB.
Some cover or even an upgrade on Shaw is probably needed, but given other areas of the first team we need to invest in this summer, I'd hold off on covering LB and until next year.
He didn't play a single game at cb this season according to stats on transfer market
Mostly as wing back/left midfield in a 343
If there's any interest its as competition/back up to Shaw
I'm not either's biggest critic, but for me, neither Dalot or Young is suitable cover at LB.
I'd like to see a second left footer in the squad.
As much as I'm not a fan of shaw with him and dalot there's no reason to buy a lb at this stage. I still think toby would be the one to make most sense and migrate tuanzebe into the first team squad
We need cover at LB. I don’t think Young or Rojo are suitable replacements for Shaw, and I think Dalot is far better and more dangerous from the right.
He was in the top 5 fullbacks in the league for crossing accuracy this season. We need to nurture that, rather than risk ruining his confidence playing him out of position.

Given that shaw will play most games next season, spending 40 mil on another left back doesn't make sense this summer. Think we have other far more pressing areas.
We need a rb, 2 midfielders a cf and a rw plus ideally a cb. Thats a busy summer ahead already and i dont think we will even pull this off as i have no faith in our transfer process
