your credibility is in tatters.

as will be celtics if they continue with this "wisnae us" approach.

i get the difference, and i think it unfair that the modern day celtic have to deal with the actions of individuals in the past.

legal minefield, but for me its something the club could do a lot better.

I can't disagree with you there mate and it is a serious subject.

Just for clarity however; successful child abuse cases resulting in financial "compensation" have recently resulted in disgracefully low payments being made.

£10,000 per case appears to be the flat rate. Add in legal fees and you could argue £15,000 per child. Those were for children abused in care which some might argue are worse.

So to suggest millions of pounds is just ridiculous in the extreme. That would at current rates account for something like 67 successful cases for every £1m.

Lex you said earlier the signings rangers are making won't unduly worry you, ie Jones and hastie.
Only thing likely as we speak is celtic rumoured to be signing the killie defender.
Difference being what, should that worry rangers. Gerrard has said he wants three quality players these players ie hastie etc will be to boost the squad numbers. We will need to wait into the summer to see what quality are signed by both teams, granted you can blow us out the water money wise.
But celtic being celtic usually just do enough. One of these times that might just bite you in the backside

It wouldn't be the first time.

We've bitten ourselves in the rse before

its poor tho that its ridiculous to suggest millions of pounds based on the "going rate" for sexual abuse.

its like their jail sentences, 6 years - wtf?

a lifetime of horror for the victims and those rats get 6 years?

disgusting.

To be fair the Killie defender in question has looked very good any time I've seen him play. If a player from Rosenburg or Salzburg played as well against us we would be pushing for his signing.

a subject which brings out the worst in people.

celtic fans on twitter desperate for a rangers coach to have done something - desperate for kids to be molested.

rangers fans with their faux outrage - not all of them, but a fair chunk are happy to ignore the stuff at rangers which shows that its not really about the victims, its about the club.

disgusting bastirts.

No problem Irvine but the point was lex saying at this time the signings don't worry him, ie Jones and hastie.
At this time vive versa regarding the killie lad

Paddy Roberts on a 3 year deal apparently, 4.9m fee with 10% sell on.

(From a very good friend whose involved with the club.)

I for one would be delighted with this!

Kids in care for not have the same media attention though.

In fact at kerelaw I know many kids who were not even interviewed regarding it.

Easy to sweep all that under the carpet when most of these kids have no voice.

Walking back to the bus after the game seen a pile of fans doing the ninetoes round a car i fired up and joined in, didnt know until later it was Patrick Roberts who was at the game. Would love him back thats the kind of quality we need to take us forward.
