What ever happens we’ll going to need to buy a couple HG players especially if we are going to move on players like trippier.
Local talent always seem to cost more and at best are not the same as their foreign counterparts
Saying that, there are some good local talents, like Bournemouth's Brooks

----------------------------------------------------------------------
i think we will get Sessegnon from Fulham as one of them
no idea who else is realistic since Zaha's price was upped
literally couldn't call it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t think sess will count yet as he’s under 21.
For example KWP didn’t this season but will next.
Forgetting the homegrown thing for a second (hoping that we'll fill that quota elsewhere), I think we should consider offering Fulham the chance to have Sessegnon loaned back to them for a season as an incentive to let him join us.
He will hopefully have another great season in the Championship which would make him much more ready to join our first team, plus I don't think Rose is done just yet.

Brooks is interesting but the problem is Bournemouth have wealthy owners and I dunno how many of him, Fraser & wilson they are gonna be willing to let go with lots of interest in all 3.
Will be very interesting how Levy plays this summer. Despite his rep, he's basically been irrelevant in the windows for the past couple of years. I wonder whether his approach still works ??? As Liverpool and City has proved, with great success.... Identify your targets and go get them.... If the cost is painful.. so be it
I think we'll be fine with HG rule. A lot of non-HG deadwood that we need getting rid of like Janssen and N'Koudou should help.

oh snap, I forgot about that
i don't want us touching any of the Bournemouth this transfer window
whilst they might have had a good season, I really can't see them improving out starting line up.
they just scream a massively average 'they're alright'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Buying foreign does not guarantee any quality for me
It should be like Diamond said, Poch determines which players will improve the squad and then Levy goes and gets that player - whatever cost.
And Levy needs to loosen up on the market rates. He seems to think this is year 2000

Maybe although those two both haven’t been registered at one point this season to help us but it needs to be in people’s mind when they are saying let’s get rid of trippier, Dier etc
Atm our HG players for next season are
Kane
Trippier
Dele
Rose
KWP
Winks
Davies ( doesn’t count for CL though )
To get a full 25 man squad you need 8 players.

For players like Janssen and N'Koudou. Even £5m would be great because they are literally a waste of space and wages.
Wanyama and Dier are more difficult to value. In any case, Levy would at least want his money back.

I am not sure about whether we have got one.
We may have targets but whether we have sewn up any deals, I am less convinced.
I am intrigued why Inter are so keen on Tripper though

Yeah..... Baffled me too.. Italians love defenders who can defend.... Trips... not so much
The same reason we were interested in Aurier. Trippier still has a good reputation and if he's the starting RB of a CL finalist then the perception would be that he must be decent.

£20m for Wanyama would be good money. I'm not sure if we should give up on him just yet but if that money is going towards upgrading then no-brainer.
Agree on Dier. I would keep him as i like his versatility in CDM, CB and RB. Wouldn't sell unless a ridiculous offer came in £40m+

Only paid £4m for Dier and £11m for Wanyama. Guaranteed profit on Dier and at least money back on Vic.
Don’t mind keeping Dier as a squad player though.

agree mate... actually prefer Dier as CB option depending on what happens with Toby. Totally agree re Grealish as for Sessegnon.... despite him wanting to stay in London, will be interesting to see if United get involved, given what looks like a shift to younger/ up & coming players.
As for CM..... Tielemanns would be my first choice, based mostly on cost, prem experience & possibility of it actually happening.....any of the others would all be great but I suspect we'll be going to a gun fight, armed with a pocket knife

Mr popular Trippier
I like him he’d be a decent squad addition
But in reality he’ll stay at Villa
