Sandy, 5 or 6 players coming in shouldn't be unrealistic and is what is needed at spurs no matter what you say. Not saying that is what is going to happen but if we are to challenge for the title it's what needs to happen.

Apparently we are in the market for a central midfielder, a number 10 and a forward. We also desperately need a RB, as you know. That's 4 players, like we all say we have missed out in 2 previous windows so we are behind. Then lose eriksen he needs replacing etc. Players like lamela, wanyama, aurier and trippier are pretty much a waste of space
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolute priorities have to be a right back and a central midfielder to go straight into the first XI, cannot see any more than that though would be regulars. May buy a back up striker to Kane. I don`t want loads of squad players, obviously need players to go straight in and improve the first XI.

Yeah Sandy can you go back to being negative again please, it worked for us last time.

Not being funny, but do we really need negative articles like our best players leaving on the eve of the biggest single game in Spurs history. Can we just get on with concentrating on tomorrow`s game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reality check mate....... Its an online forum. Its a discussion about Spurs, has no impact on the game tomorrow (which we are all excited about) Either contribute or don't (Its my thread & I don't care what you think )but It has no impact on anything.... Please don't tell us what we can and cannot post. Given your form re Spurs this year, you are in no position to dictate to anyone... Cheers
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not telling you what to post, but trying to sell one of our best players on the Eve of the CL final, don`t seem the brightest idea in the world. Your call though, if you want to talk negatives instead of positives. I am surprised you have mentioned Toby leaving, and Kane looking elsewhere to win trophies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
to be fair sandy in the semi final you had given up on us before second leg
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don`t think I was alone in that Weare, and at 2-0 down at half time in the 2nd leg, none of our supporters would have thought Spurs were going through. I still believe that Spurs knocked out the best side left, Ajax, and that is why I fancy Spurs quite strongly tomorrow.

If you spend the money very well, possibly.

It's not often a side improves from losing one of their best players though, actually very rarely.

Not sure you can actually say we improved, our first XI became more balanced, but that's it.

Extremely hard to replace players of Eriksen's quality.

In a crazy way our defence improved after we sold Coutinho

I was only negative because as I have just told Weare I thought Spurs were playing the best side left, and were 1-0 down at home from the first leg. A lot of Spurs fans were living more in hope than anything else for the second leg. And let`s be fair Ajax with a proper game plan, should have seen a 3-0 lead out with 25 minutes to go with absolute comfort. Those sort of comebacks with so little time left happen about once in a thousand.

But now Spurs have knocked out Ajax, I am expecting them to beat Liverpool in the final.

Can't fault your confidence Sandy

I don't see who buys him.

Real are supposedly in for Hazard which will cost them over 100m, having already spend 90m euro on 2 players. Asensio and Isco both play there too.

Can you see them spending another 100m on Eriksen too?

Barca have spent 90m euros already too. De Ligt supposedly on route too for 70-80m. Rumours to of a Neymar swap with cash and Dembele going the other way.

I don't see either side being able to stump up a fee for Eriksen this summer.

I have a feeling Spurs will hang on to him though it risks losing him on a free if no new deal is signed.

we will only keep him if he signs a new deal and plenty of clubs will want him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
wouldn't be shocked to see him at Athletico now Griezmann has bought himself out of his contract

Would he want to go to Atletico though?

Not knocking them, massive new stadium like us and a great club, but in the prime of your career having spent 7 seasons with us, if he wants to now leave for a better chance of regular trophies, is Atletico really going to be that team? Especially with Griezmann leaving.

who knows mate..... I suspect its really all about Money.... he's been underpaid for the last few years at Spurs (dunno who's fault that is ) but Athletico pay (Griezmann was one of the highest paid in Spain.

I could see him at City, Pep type player, David Silva cant go on for forever

would think Bayern would look at him... They are looking to rebuild

posted on 31/5/19

Maybe Juve will go for him?

Agree can't see Madrid or Barca having enough for him and why would he leave for Atleti who are similar to Spurs? Side move if anything...unless he really does just want to play in Spain no matter the team.

I agree plenty want him, i just don't see either of the big 2 in Spain being able to pay the money required to get him this summer.

I'd fancy Levy to break the wage structure rather than risk losing out on a potentially huge fee.

Bayern or Juve if they lose Dybala could be interested. Probably again too rich for Bayern though.

Good point. Maybe Eriksen is waiting on Poch to leave for Juve and would follow him in my view

I am turning into Sandy now

No, no let's be positive! We are buying MBappe !

Think city will get Bruno if silva leaves. Guys amazing and perfect replacement.
Can only see juve or psg going for Eriksen. Been under paid by Spurs so deserves a bumper deal. Problem is levy values him super high despite his wages not matching his value, and it's hard to see team's paying what he asks when his contracts running down.

Best thing would be paybthe guy the wage he deserves and have him stay. Ndombele would be a major coup but he isn't Eriksen. Guys a beast but will cost mega money as everyone wants him. Will spurs offer the best salary/deal? History tells me prob not unfort

I’m not buying into the whole sell Eriksen and rebuild the midfield thing. Fair enough it’s necessary if he’s willing to run down his contract until the end of next season to leave on a free, in which case we need to recoup some money, but I don’t think it will improve us

Spurs fans hugely under appreciate Eriksen’s influence. He’s one of the very best playmakers in world football ffs
