bad decision to start Kane, he seems to upset out fluency then again sh**te game it was there for the taking but we just didnt have enough calm moments, played the same as we have the last quarter of the league season

It’s not Pochettino Bollox tho, it was a dreadful decision. And not just in hindsight - most people called it before the game.
If I was Moura I’d leave the club tomorrow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn’t most of your fans want Kane to start?
I suspect poch would have left him out too, but bowers to pressure.
I really think you could have won this without Kane.
Well done for you efforts tonight and getting there.outstabdibg. But poch cost you with his selection.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that's what i thought i read yesterday. sandy wanted kane to start. it might of been a different game with moura starting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, Sandy is a known idiot.
Kane was never match fit.

The difficulty now is that it’s unlikely Spurs will get this chance again. The other big european teams are strengthening this summer. Man City will get better. Liverpool and United will improve. Spurs will probably try and sign Jack Grealish on deadline day for £20m on the other hand
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I disagree. Coach has big ideas and big fan Base. Big stadium. Just need big backing I just know if levy is that guy. Spurs don't need bargains anymore to kick on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They won’t be able to compete financially with the elite clubs, not with a £1bn stadium to pay for. They will likely lose Eriksen as well
If spurs had won no one would be talking about it, instead they'd be questioning why Klopp started Firminio
Both managers went with their gut instinct, and assurances from staff they were fit, I'm sure.
Ergo poch Facked it up.
Though I wonder how much pressure was on him to pick Kane, even though (and he’s a sensible guy) that it was a bad call?
I think it literally was the call that lost you this.
Otherwise they were there for the taking. Nervous, held back. If Barca has played then this time round, they’d have destroyed then.

Football doesn't work like that. Spurs are perfectly equipped to nullify pools free flowing football. It's just rare they don't find some way to make chances.
Barca is an easier game for pool than spurs with how they set up. It showed over the games barca rarely dominated Liverpool even at home when they won.
Don't under estimate the strength of spurs and how difficult they are for Liverpool to play
Well, I think that was the Spuuds’ big chance, I’m not convinced they’ll make the final again any time soon - but we’ll see...
Kane was not by a long way the worse player on the pitch. The whole team were bereft of ideas. Son has not played well since the Man City game. Dele and Eriksen were not existant, and the defence worries me at every set piece, and guess what we conceded from yet another corner, and also let in our customary early goal.
I have never believed the hype about Kane. Kane is Tottenhams (and England’s) “golden” boy. He is often talked up in the media about his skill and ability. Players are often sacrificed and others have to play out of position to accommodate Kane for club and country. The hype around him would have one believe that he’s world class. IMO, he’s a very good player….only just (but no more than just). The delusional people who thought that starting Kane over Moura, who scored a hat trick in the previous round, and thought that Kane would have a pivotal effect in the final ultimately damaged Tottenham’s chances in the final.
Sandy, you are a clown, just a complete and utter buffoon. The whole world, except you, knew that starting Kane would be less effective than starting Moura. Just hold your hands for once and admit that you were WRONG

He was up there with frimino as the worst. And he was hooked 2/3 into the game. I don’t think frimino touched the hall..which says how good kane was...

Barca would have beat them tonight. You should have if you hadn’t bowed to Kane pressure..real shame.
Dominated the game too..

Poch is a disgrace
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why?
I think if Kane didn't start and Spurs lost the same people complaining about him starting would have been complaining about him not starting.
Poch would get far more flack if we didn't start Kane and still lost.
