Mane was trying to knock the ball into the penalty area. Sandy could argue that Sissoko was too near and had too little time to get his arm out of the way, and therefore the "arm ball" was unintentional.
VAR does not adjudicate for intent.
The Ref has to do that.
I would argue that some Refs would have called it unintentional.

On the way to the plane coming home. Ridiculous decision literally a shambles. But we didn't score so can't argue. We would never have scored. But I suspect the 2nd doesnt happen if the first doesn't.

Of greater importance is that Spurs showed no passion or energy and never looked like scoring. They played like Arsenal with their slow pace back and forth passing as they went forward, not to mention their insufferable passing back to their goalkeeper.

Standing with your arm out like an air traffic controller in the box was dumb.
Sissoko then lowered his arm towards the ball.
I don't think it was clearly intentional but it looked bad and the penalty was given. if you want to blame someone then blame your player of the year for his idiocy.

It looked like a pretty clear pen to me. Great shame for more than one reason.
Spurs I thought were comfortably the better side on the night and for something like 80 of the 90 minutes. Tactically, I think Pochettino got things right, and on balance he'll have been pleased with how you defended for the most part and in particular played through the transition. Just the final ball and finish were lacking.
Liverpool didn't even look particularly dangerous on the counter to me. They got a lucky break early, then rode that luck very well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucky? We got an early goal and let you have the ball. You had all the ball and did nothing with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure I didn't have the ball, and neither did my team.

Standing with your arm out like an air traffic controller in the box was dumb.
Sissoko then lowered his arm towards the ball.
I don't think it was clearly intentional but it looked bad and the penalty was given. if you want to blame someone then blame your player of the year for his idiocy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or just blame the ref for a shockingly poor decision.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't shockingly poor. Sissoko had a massive brainfart on the biggest stage of all. It happens, hopefully he will learn from this.
Anyway we won by two goals so no it wasn't a result changer

Mane definitely tried for a penalty, he just aimed the ball straight at Sissoko`s arm. Very poor sportsmanship, and this sort of thing is alarmingly creeping in. If you know all you have to do to get a penalty, is to fire at a players arm from a couple of yards away, why do you even need to think about having a shot at the goal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re crazy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whatever Sandy is trying to claim here is foolish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn’t have to be intentional, it’s about whether the arm is in a natural position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definition. A handball occurs if any player, other than the team's goalkeeper within his own penalty area, deliberately handles the ball when in play. A ball can be handled with any part of the arm, from the tips of a player's fingers right up to the shoulder.
Note the "deliberate" in the hand ball rule.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s one part of it. If you deliberately handle the ball it’s a penalty. A separate part of the rule is that if the arm is in an unnatural position, it’s a penalty, whether deliberate or not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it defined what "an unnatural position" is??

Nonsense.
It was debatable sure, but if you stand with your arm out for no good reason, then lower it in the direction of the ball, striking it then you only have yourself to blame.
The ref cost us the game agenda being spewed is bollox you are looking for.
Liverpool won a tight game, which in truth was poor by two goals. Blaming the ref is just pure unadulterated bitterness. I appreciate its painful losing these games, but once the blood cools you will hopefully understand that Sissoko erred and gave the ref a question he never needed to answer.

That, pal, is because he had no shots to save, apart from a very dodgy penalty and the one credible chance your "entitled" team mustered in the whole game.
