League title is out of the question for me but we've got the talent to win a domestic trophy (preferably FA Cup). Top four is probably a safe bet considering the weakening or stagnation of other clubs around us like Chelsea and United but we really need to start winning something. Take the league cup serious as well. I know it's a minor trophy but it gives you a taste of success
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You say that but Man City won it last year because they have a massive talented squad and can afford to put out very strong teams in every game - we're getting there but still some way behind.

We took it seriously last season but suspect we may have still struggled to win it as City dominated everything domestically.
Why does Eriksen always talk in riddles!! So frustrating!
So I have a friend that works in the C4 press team who happens to also be a spurs fan, he says the following rumours are going round in the press world:
1. Kane was the one that gave Verts the black eye
2. Levy has instructed Poch not to play Eriksen until he signs, however Poch has ignored him hence there being a bit of tension there
3. Rumours that a few players have now become a bit unsettled because of the hierarchy including Kane and Alli

i heard the players were not happy that Lucas Moura was dropped for the CL final... which tbh was a completely ridiculous decision as he was our most in form player.

Wanyama's still here? Blimey. I guess him and Dier can switch between the bench and physio room.

Oh okay. City won a lot of things last season wasn't sure what you were referring to.
Sissoko being an idiot with his arm up pointing to the moon is what changed the game within a single minute. We did alright for the majority of the match - I do sympathise with Lucas Moura though I just don't think Poch sees him as a starter and one to throw a tantrum for starting on the bench hence it's easier to do than benching Kane who would be moaning most probably.
Poch gets into a habit of favouritism and once that's locked it's difficult for someone else to get a run of games consistently. In-game management needs to improve though if we are to progress into the latter rounds of cups and win them.

Yep. That is the poorest decision Poch had made in his tenure as Spurs manager. I get wanting to play Kane, but for me Son has been in atrocious form since the 2nd leg vs City and Lucas had earned his place. I would’ve started Son on the bench and Lucas on the pitch.
Regardless of team selection you can’t legislate for conceding a joke penalty after 26 seconds. That completely changed the dynamic of the game, as Liverpool had a lead to defend, and last season had one of the best defences in Europe. Poch’s selection and tactics might’ve been spot on for the game that would’ve unfurled without the early pen, who knows. Also, if Lucas had started his game would’ve immediately been negated by the change in dynamic. Much as I like him, he’s a fairly one dimensional player - his game is about direct running at a defence. He’s nowhere near as effective against teams that are sitting back.
The whole thing was a fack up. Liverpool were beatable that night, they scored early and late and offered not much in between. But, in true Spurs fashion we conspired against ourselves. Only Spurs could concede a penalty 26 seconds into their first ever Champions League final. The 3 week break and oppressive heat didn’t help either - every man on that pitch looked leggy and unfit. Crap final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ace, why wouldn't you have had Son over Dele then? Fans have said that Son's been out of form since City away last season, but Dele stunk the place out nine times out of ten last season, and was dreadful in the final.
Alli was awful I personally would have gone with an attacking four of Kane, Son, Eriksen and Moura

Especially considering they seemed set on getting 60m for Malcom.
Sporting Lisbon President saying he rejected a €65m bid from Tottenham for Bruno Fernandes because of the terms Levy wanted it done by - €45m and the other €20m if we win the Premier League and Champions League. Class.

Nothing is surprising when it comes to our penny pinching bald man. His antics will no doubt drive Poch away eventually.
Penny pinching?
If you include our purchased price for Lo Celso we had the second highest net spend in Europe
