I struggle to take anything away from the All or Nothing series because it is so staged and a single narrative has been pushed.
Only take away I have are:
Mou seems to be so sick of Daniel talking to him whenever they have a conversation
Rose is grate
You can make plans, and contingencies, and alternatives and so on for various potential scenarios. I'm sure the club does just that.
You can't guarantee the exact set of circumstances that will be in place come the January window though, and those circumstances could potentially mean all those various contingencies become irrelevant. But you can still plan ahead to a degree based on educated forecasts - best and worst case scenarios etc.
So that's (I assume, knowing next to nothing about the quotes and having not watched the show) why people are annoyed if he sounds like he's just said "January is a mess, can't plan for it and no point even trying". Because making no plans at all would be negligent, but I'm sure that's not actually the case.
This is what was said basically
Said he hates the nature of the January transfer window because it's about panic buying, not planning and clubs are a nightmare to deal with because of consequences of selling.
you'd think after 5 years you'd have some kind of plan to bring in a striker

(Old convo but) Zizou doesn’t like or rate attacking mids so his use of James is moot. Isco would start for most teams in the world but isn’t first choice at RM.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The point wasn’t why he wasn’t but the fact he’s barely has.
Also Isco played over a thousand minutes more than James
"Having a conversation isn’t planning for it. You have no clue after the summer window what state you’ll be in by January."
Wtf is this
You can plan for the possibility of your only striker getting injured, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that that happens. To say it can't be planned for is ridiculous.
And the plan will start with a conversation by answering that question. All businesses will be doing what-if scenarios. Nobody _knows_ what the situation in the future will be, but you can prepare on possibilities. Worst case and best case scenarios.
It's why we have a squad of players and not just a first XI...we've planned for the possibility of injuries and player form...things you've said we can't plan for..
Flashy; do you think he does no planning at all? Or do you think he does plan for these scenarios but hates how difficult and reactive the window is?
Planning would include having players lined up for XY&Z positions but how can you line them up until you know if you need them.
Hence why In the doc you see Mourinho doing his homework on Gedson straight after sissoko injury and not before.
It become a panic hence why you can’t plan for it.
Clubs in good positions rarely do January business unless there’s a good deal on the table.
So hitchin likes the summer window and hates the January.
The other issue about Jan is you can have strikers A-Z lined up but if everyone of those teams suddenly relies on each striker due to injury, form, league position etc then any plans are moot
Clubs will have a plan for summer windows with a list of players they will want maybe 2 years in advanced.
Stevie B we’ve been looking at for 18 months and bang his agent knew we wanted and told us psv would sell.
That wasn’t planned for January but was a reactive deal due to circumstances but you could say there seeds were planted ( reckon we’d would’ve got him this summer otherwise ).
Zaniolo With his second ACL injury. He’d fit in perfect for our club

Not what he said at all. He said he hates the January window because it’s not one you can plan for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why can't you plan for it?
It's an attitude thing and his was negative. This is his job. He should be extremely motivated to get business done, not complaining about the difficulties of it.
I agree that Hitchen came across negatively.
Yes the January window is difficult, but he should have shown more enthusiasm about the challenge. His attitude was almost defeatist and that's not what fans want to see/hear.
Because it’s a panic window with little value in it. They’ll have plans for the summer windows one or two years ahead with a list of about 30 players in it.
Also he was motivated as he got deals done but saying he doesn’t like this window doesn’t make him bad at his job or anything.
Such a weird thing that being fixated on
Alex Telles linked with Wolves and we continue to use Davies as first choice right back. Frustrates me how we led to believe we are a poor club. Ridiculous.

Another Mendes client. Needs to be looked at how wolves owner can have a stake in his agency business and then get any player they want from him.
