If we drop points while we're still looking for players to bring in then it will never be 'great'.

I don’t think we will though? We don’t need a striker or midfielder now - we need it for when Kane inevitably breaks in the winter

yep. it is ok getting smart or cost effective deals in at a position of strength but we have been hit so hard recently not strengthening were we are short.

some were praising Gedson and Bergwijn(who im really glad we signed btw hes gonna be awesome) coming in, in Jan. if we went all out for a striker(no brainer, Kane out) and playmaker (Eriksen left) in that window then thats top 4 achieved last season and you get some of the money back.

we have 75 games in september Kane cant play them all

Hopefully we don't drop points but you never know. Kane has looked off his best during the England games. If we do then inevitably we can point to the fact we didn't complete all our business when we should have done.

Son can play there but it's not as effective, and you lose Son playing where he normally does.

Given that Chelsea would automatically lose the points they gained from not having Giroud in their team anymore I would say that's true.

Also strikers I would like include:
Anyone young and decent/proven with a decent season or two.
Or
An older striker for a season/two in the idea of Llorente but more mobile. Cavani, Dzeko, Giroud or Deeney (feels so wrong including him in a list with the other three)

We would have beat them when we faced each other in Feb as Giroud was the difference maker then (he loves a goal vs us) he would have also helped out a lot of the other fixtures as well
