Tbh had we got Giroud last Jan we would have got top 4
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Given that Chelsea would automatically lose the points they gained from not having Giroud in their team anymore I would say that's true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We would have beat them when we faced each other in Feb as Giroud was the difference maker then (he loves a goal vs us) he would have also helped out a lot of the other fixtures as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know it doesn't exactly work this way but if you deduct all Giroud goals for Chelsea then they lose 8 points, so yeah it makes a significant difference.
Goes to show what can happen with a second striker.
I’ve said it about a million times but in January if I was Levy I’d be looking to pinch a definitely disillusioned Tammy Abraham and comfortably chuck up to £40m at him
Really? Why would Abraham be disillusioned? He was finally given a chance at Chelsea and had a decent season. Don't think they're going to sell a young promising player to a rival somehow.
I think Werner and Havertz will take the majority of his minutes with Giroud probably pinching a fair few as well
Giroud is almost 34 now. Those signings signal the end of him more than anything. Think Abraham will get given chances by Lampard.
sensible footy chat on JA???
Sizzle just moderates instead of commentates so that’s probably why
Was just thinking how strange (but pleasing) it's been that there hasn't been any 'Kane to leave spurs' rumours this window.
We've had it constantly for a few years now, but I haven't seen a single one. Strange, but good
Depressingly it’s because he’s definitely gone next summer

Son can play there but it's not as effective, and you lose Son playing where he normally does.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Champions league qualification and silverware will keep him.
so yeah he'll be gone next summer
With Bale coming in I guess that solves our LB issues, he can alternate with Davies

Tough to justify £50m or whatever on another midfielder
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe they want Ndombele back?
Aouar is much closer to the finished article anyways
Newcastle bid turned down of £35m for Soumare?

How the hell have Fulham signed Kenny Tete for £3m?
Surely he would have been good for us behind Doherty.
That's a cracking deal tbf
Didn't really get much game time at Lyon but remember him being very good for Ajax
Think he's an AWB style fullback, awkward in the final third but super solid defensively
So Fulham is about his level?
Why did I think he played for Norwich
