I don’t rate Alderweireld anymore, he’s lost his legs and looks awful compared to 2 seasons ago. He will definitely be sold on next summer.

Other than the penalty, thought Sánchez was good yesterday.

Also big shout out to Sissoko who put in his best performance in ages.

I’d be ok with no new CB, assuming that Tanganga is already at a good enough level and doesn’t need another year to develop.

What Sissoko is really bad for, and he kept annoying me doing it yesterday, is receiving he ball from a CB with his back turned to the opposition while unmarked and passing it to the next CB.

If he had any awareness of what is going on around him he could have turned on the ball so many times and driven with it. As a result Dier and Sanchez had to drive with the ball to progress it.

Nah disagree strongly. He isn’t as quick as he used to be but still has the intelligence, positioning and quality on the ball. The issue is he is getting exposed in 1v1 situations way more due to the incompetence of Winksissoko/Aurier/CB partner etc than before - even peak Toby would be struggling.
