Nuno.
Thoughts?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't he play boring football though? The kind of football we're hoping to get away from with Mourinho?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who knows what Levy will go for next!
My faith in Levy to get it right these days is rock bottom.
I'd rather go for Potter myself. Nice brand of football to get excited about. And we need to become more homegrown not more Portuguese/Spanish.

Levy got very few appointments right.
Remember LVG was his first choice when appointing Poch. I think we will go through a few more managers before we get the right one.

He got Redknapp spot on for the time. That was over 10 years ago now.
Not sure about Nuno, I thought he might be a good option a while back but that was without watching them play much.

Don't think Nuno will be the right fit for us.
I do like Potter and I think he would be a clever appointment.

Potter feels like the sensible option. All you have to do is imagine Brighton now but with better players.
I hope he's on our radar.
Would hate Nuno. Really boring football under a manager with dodgy links to a corrupt manager.
Nuno has done a bit of a Mourinho. When Wolves came up, and in their first season in the Prem, they played an exciting 343 with high pressing, dynamic inverted wing backs and a couple of technical midfielders who sat deep but played progressively with 3 CBs behind them.
Since then he's sort of garbled it. He seems to have gone mega defensive with the aim of counter attacking but he's overdone it a bit like Mourinho. Moving away from a back 3 also seemed to hurt the side as they didn't have the right CBs for a back 4 and I think he restricted the team's attacking impetus to cover for that. Jimenez being out has obviously hurt them badly too because the replacements just aren't able to provide what he does.
I do reckon he'd be able to adapt at a bigger club and play more expansively, but it's no secret that a big part of his success at Wolves has been down to Jorge Mendes' ties to Fosun Group which means he's had a relatively easy ride in the transfer market.
At this moment in time I'd say no to Nuno tbh.

I mean everything he has done in terms of building the infrastructure and status of the club is second to none. He’s done a decent enough job on the field as well, I think a lot of/almost all managerial appointments you can make a justifiable argument for.
We have also made a lot of decent signings under him and due to him. He’s too close to the team and needs a DOF to take a step back (which he has tried a lot of times and Poch blocked him more recently). Also gets too embedded in the finances to look at the bigger picture.
It also isn’t really his money.
