How do in game diplomacy bonuses effect multiplayer?
Civ is great up until a point. If its single player its fun until you begin playing climbing up the difficulty. Civ doesn't have great AI so it only buffs and cheats its way to more difficulty. It takes away all of the penalties from the computer that keeps the game balanced.
Multiplayer is loads of fun however.
One sec, how can one with limited game time then play Civ?
I wasted many an hour or 5 playing this game, justnoje more turn...

Can pause and pick up pretty easily as long as you aren't deep into a nuclear war.

It's not the nuclear war that doesn't last too long, it's the race to build wonders
Love it and loved all the updates. Not the biggest fan of loyalty though
Civilisation 2 could well be classed as mankinds greatest achievement to be honest.

Civ III was better. First one with the new 8 way movement

Disagree - she adds an interesting mechanic to the whole thing.....still doesnt make it fun, and still lose the cities just as quick

I rarely lose cities to loyalty because I don't aggressively settle single cities close to other civs. If you want to settle aggressively then you need to plan it out and think about how you can improve the loyalty pressure from your own cities - settle two or three together and get your governors in there.
Or of course you can just go to war and take the enemy cities.
I always think a golden age early is a big help - it lets you spend your faith on settlers and can let you aggressively settle while allowing you to do other things with your cities - including preparing for war if necessary.

It's not the nuclear war that doesn't last too long, it's the race to build wonders
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Civ 6 has changed the way that wonders are built, in that you can't just build wonder after wonder in the same city. You now have to choose a tile to place the wonder in (similar to a district) and you have to carefully decide which wonders you want to target to help you get to your victory condition, taking into account the conditions for building a wonder (does it need to be on marsh, on jungle, next to a specific district etc). It makes it more challenging, and whereas in previous iterations of the game I'd build loads of wonders, now I only build a small number through the game.
